Oscar sat there with his usual blank intimidating facial expression as Ivan Verro smiled falsely. "Well uh- my daughters never mentioned you." He said sickly sweet as he made a dig at the younger man. Oscar glanced at Nina briefly who's eyes were aimed at the floor not daring to look at either of them.
"Just happened today actually...... when I took her to the hospital." Oscar said it casually but Nina's father seemed to tense before looking at her with a piercing gaze yet the fake smile never fell. Oscar watching the entire interaction waiting to see what Ivan had to say. "What happened sweetheart?" He asked falsely as Nina's eyes widened but never left the floor board she found so interesting. "I uh- I fell down the stairs." She tried to say as her father nodded Oscar cut it off. "Really? Seems to me someone beat the shit out of her." He said it with confidence making Nina's father nearly lose his fake smile that seemed to twitch.
"I'm afraid your assumptions are wrong. The bruises are from the stairs I assume. The scars on her back from that car accident she was in before we moved here." Ivan said it with haste and a bit of an edge. Unaware Oscar had only seen the bruises and not the scars that littered Nina's back. Oscar went deathly still at that before slowly looking to Nina who seemed to shrink more into herself. He sucked in a deep breathe nodding slowly before standing up from his seat. "Come here." Oscar said to Nina who finally looked up glancing between him and her father. She slowly crept towards him as Oscar and Ivan both wore no expressions at all.
As she got to Oscars side he wrapped an arm around her pushing her a bit behind him. His hand going under her shirt enough to touch a scar before his arm fell away from her. Instead it went to the back of his pants where he had something tucked under his shirt. Making it invisible to the naked eye.
"Go outside Nina." He demanded with his eyes not leaving her fathers. She looked confused not seeing where his hand was or what he was doing. "But-" she tried to say but her fathers fake sickly sweet smile stayed and he gave her a look. "You heard him. Give us some privacy." Ivan said coldly yet better then what he would have said if it was Nina and him alone. He would of called her a name, told her how pathetic she was.
She slowly walked outside still confused before going to her porch steps to wait. She tried to eaves drop but even with the two men talking she couldn't hear anything they said. At least now she knew the neighborhood really couldn't hear her when she screamed.....
~Meanwhile~
Oscar waited until he heard the front door shut before pulling out the gun and setting it ready to shoot. He aimed it right between Ivan Verro's eyes looking at him with slight fear. "I'm the leader of the Santos. If I see so much as a new bruise, let alone any mark on her? I will kill you. If it's not me..... I'm sure one of my many boys can do it for me." Oscar said lowly as Ivan stared him down with malice but seemed to be debating with his inner demons.
"She doesn't have to clean.... or cook for you. And If I hear anything bad from my ruca..... you'll be found chopped up into little pieces behind the grocery store. Are we clear?" Oscar asked finger still hovering over the trigger trying to make her father see he was deathly serious.
