Nina wipes the sweat from her brow as she sits in the kitchen with the oven on. California heat mixed with baking for hours straight seemed to be a bad combination. At one point she even went outside thinking it would be cooler out there. She was right as a slight breeze went past the porch, making her sigh with relief.

Opening her eyes she held in a panicked scream as Mr. Green thumb and Julio sat on a chair watching Jamal lift heavy soil bags. The boy was dripping in sweat much like Nina.

"All right, so what's next? Should I rearrange the sundials? They won't sell if people can't see them." Jamal offers huffing as Nina slowly walks around to be by his side she had just put brownies in the oven and they still had to bake for awhile.

"Don't touch those things. They belong to Ricky. Take a break. Julio thinks your dehydrated." The man pauses between each phrase weirdly before speaking as if Julio were real once again. It was really beginning to freak Nina out, she even sent Oscar a picture of the gnome making him laugh.

He didn't find the thing scary one but.

It was weirder however that a glass of water was sat in front of the gnome. Jamal grabs it and offers the first sip to Nina, who kindly declines it.

She didn't want that gnomes creepy juju around anything she'd be consuming.

Jamal began looking at a bunch of ribbons and trophies that were sat up in display. Nina looks as well before moving her eyes to the sun that shined brightly down in them.

"You like puzzles?" The man asks making Jamal say a simple sure before getting the rubix cube thrown to him.

Nina hated puzzle puzzles, but her and Oscar had began watching the true crime channel making her like actual mysteries and suspense. Sometimes the story lines hit a little too close to home making Oscar try to distract her with kisses or keep her attention by whispering things lowly in her ear.

She appreciates it more then he would ever know.

"Ever seen goonies?" Jamal asks ripping Nina from her thoughts before the man simply stares at Jamal with no emotion.

"I am Goonies." He says making both Nina and Jamal make weirded out faces. Jamal continues to solve the block puzzle with wide eyes as Nina watches him.

"Goonies would have been Ricky's favorite movie, but he died before it came out." The man says making Nina actually feel a sad pang for him. She'd lost her mother, she could relate to how he was feeling.

"You guys must have been really close for cousins." Nina says softly making the man still stare straight again still using a voice void of any emotion. "He was cool. He helped me start this place, put in his own money, even got his hands dirty. But he was a terrible rapper. Nobody could even tell him how bad he was. He once rhymed hair with hair." The man says as Jamal glances at Nina hearing the part of Ricky putting his own money into the business.
