Chapter 6

When I arrived at the lobby. I closed my eyes while I am enduring the pain. There are teardrops dropping from my eyes. Then somebody hugged me.

Voice: Why? Why did you go by yourself. Did you already forget me as your partner.? Did they give to you the shield that can only resist a hundred hits on the Room of Weaponry.? Do you know why they are so harsh to you? Because they think that you are the chosen one! Look your injured.

When I looked up. I saw Xavier crying.

Xavier: Eversince you've been close to Sebastian and Nicholas. Its like you only talk to me when your asking a question. Did I do something wrong?

His tears, my tears and my blood kept on dripping.

Me: Xan...

Xander: You're important to me. Cause you are my partner.

He let go of his hug. He held my hand and guided me to the clinic.

I was speechless.

When we reached the clinic I sat on one of the beds. I thought of what Xander told me.

I saw Xander go towards me. We had eye contact. But I just looked away.

Xander: The nurse.... is just preparing.... her things.

I just nodded. After how many minutes.

Me: Xander. I'm sorry!

I hugged him. My tears started to fall again.

Nurse: Eheeemmm....

Me: Oh, sorry.

I said while wiping my tears.

Nurse: Where is your injury?

I extended my right arm for the nurse to see it..

Nurse: The bullet is not too deep.

She is getting the bullet from my arm.

Me: Ouch!!

Xander: Are you alright?

I just nodded and gave him a weak smile. After a few minutes. It was done.

I looked at my watch its still 5 pm.

Xander and I are in our classroom. Xander was about to go out the room but I called his name.

Me: Xander!

He looked at me.

Xander: Why?

Me: Wanna go to our place which is the beach.?

Xander: Of course, I do!

He showed me a big smile. That made me happy too.

We talked happily on our way there. When we reached the beach. We ate the snacks that were left in the party. Then, he opened up a topic.

Xander: Can I ask you something?

Me: What is it?

Xander: Would it be ok for you if you were the chosen one.?

I was quite shocked of that question. I know in my heart that I am not ready to answer that question.

Me: I can't answer that question right now..

I said while looking at the sky.

Xander: Its 5:45pm

Me: Thank you!

So he does know me well. He knows my curfew and know how to make me happy. Oh, Xander.

Xander: Can I join you on your way home.?

Me: Of course.

When I got home, I thought of what happened today. My birthay this year is an experience that I would never forget.

I am still in our P.E. uniform. I get from my pocket the pendant that I got during the test. During my birthday I succeeded my first test.

During my birthday I got a shot from a gun.

During my birthday I know how Xander feels.

During my birthday I know what the school thinks of me.
