Chapter 23

Maria's POV

We are now in an ancient library. We want to find a way to defeat the COM. Obviously I am the secret weapon but I don't know how to use my powers. It might have been nice if my grandma was still alive for her to teach me how to defeat this COM.

Good thing I have my friends to help me with this stuffs. I was scanning a pile of books when Xander held my hand. I looked at him as he said.

Xander: Don't get nervous k?

I intertwined our fingers and said.

Me: I can't feel nervous when I'm with you.

I said while rubbing his hand on my face.

Mika: Hey! I found something!

We all take a look at Mika. Everyone of us except for Shan. I can't take this anymore.

Me: Did you two fight?

I said while looking at Mika and Shan.

Shan: You don't know?

She said while looking at another direction.

Me: I don't know what happened but you need to have your time alone! Understand?

They looked at each other then they immediately looked away. I groaned and said.

Me: Nicholas.. please let them go to the nearest restaurant alone. Just accompany them for a sec.

I gave Nicholas money. Then he go out of the library with Shan and Mika.

Author's POV

The friends that were in the library looked at Chrystal as she was acting strange. She passed out. She went pale, became cold and her eyes were white no pupils can be seen.

Xander made his move by holding the hands of Chrystal. But Xander let go of her as she shone very bright and she flew. As she shone seven books joined her.

Every book opened to a current page with different... how should I call it.. designs. It formed a circle around her.

Chrystal fainted again without the shining stuff and flying. Her temperature became normal. Her skin also returned into normal.

Xander: Chrystal? Chrystal!

He said while holding the hands of Chrystal.

Xander: Please answer me. Answer me.

He said as his tears fell.

Chrystal: Hey! I'm fine! Stop your dramatic act there.

She said while sitting up.

Xander: I thought I lost you.

He said while hugging Chrystal. Chrystal just chuckle and hugged Xander back.

Chrysty: Guyx! Let's look at this books.

They let go of their hug and faced at the books around them.

They eagerly look at the drawings on the books. They are trying to understand what those pictures mean.

Sebastian: I don't understand it.

Chrystal: Me neither.

Chrysty: I'm sure that the internet knows. And there's no internet in an ancient library right?

Xander: We better go home.

Chrystal's POV

We decided to go home. I tried to contact Nicholas but no one answers. I also tried calling or texting Mika and Shan but no one answers. I start to get worried about them. I don't know where they are.

We are still in a van and we are on the way home. When we were on thw next city Shan called me. I answered it immediately. When I answered I heard a big scream thats why I turned it to loudspeaker for them to hear.

Shan: You've got to help us. Somebody got Mika and Nicholas.. I am now hiding in the bathroom..

Me: Where are you?

I just felt that the car stopped.

Shan: I am here in an Italian Restaurant. The only one in the city next from the city where the ancient LIBRA!!

She was cut off. She screamed. Which made us look at each other.

Shan: HELP!! HE'S GOT..

She was cut off again. Then an unusual voice spoke through the phone.

Voice: I have your friend..

He said suspisiously which made Sebastian get the phone from me.

Sebastian: Don't do anything bad to her!.

Voice: I won't. I just need the chosen one here. RIGHT NOW!

Me: I am the one you need. Dont hurt them.

Voice: Then come here my dear.. ALONE..
