Thanks to @GregCee for inspiring this poem
Moving on from the passed
Stuck on your own in thought
Wondering how it all happened
Those or what we hold dear are lost to us
Hoping they have reached the promised land
Left to pick up the pieces
Reaching for the end of the tunnel
Pondering their presence
Sinking and shrinking into a shell
To take pride in their lives and time
Memories last forever
A body holds as a vase does
Grateful but in tears for the time
Life goes on but pockmarked
Seasons take on more meaning
Spring renews destiny
Summer basks in achievement
Autumn awaits the cold
Winter returns pleasant darkness
Anniversaries become new memorials
Honoring the lost fits their fancy
The flame still shines on
Purpose is slowly found again
Life once more is worth living
Tears vary with each emotion
A constant cycle continues
Fate lends a hand in matters
Kind words are etched into memory
Good times enrich sanity
Never an opportune time
The final flower wilts
The final clouds fade out
The final laugh makes everything alright
The final wave washes ashore
The days become easier
Coping is bearable
The heart is mended
A legacy is formed
Lasting forever in time and space
Ravens and doves roost in sympathy
