I take in a deep breathe as I enter Mr. Cowell's office.

I'm so nervous, too nervous that I trip on my feet.

Paul catches me on time.

My cheeks are so red as I watch Mr. Cowell's amused look.

Why did they choose me if I can't even stand upright just in front of them?

"Jessica Shirley!" Mr. Martinez Cowell extends his hand to mine, a smile dressed on his face that doesn't even reach his nose.

Just a twitch of his lips.

"S..sir." I stammer, my shyness visible to everyone.

Paul pat's my shoulders and this doesn't go unnoticed by his Dad.

"Take a seat please. It's a pleasure to have you here." The man says professionally.

The way he holds himself.

I can't even shake the nervousness away.

I take a seat opposite him with my hands folded together.

They aren't really having me here as their new lead are they?

"Mr. Cowell!" I tell him nervously. He raises his eyebrows, very interested now. "I'm not a good actress. I have stage frights. I, I can't even act. The other day, I didn't say anything from the script. I took everything from my head. I mean, you can't risk your company by having me right? You don't want anyone looking down on you right?"

My blabber took exactly ten seconds.

Paul and his Father stare at me for some time in shocked silence before exploding into laughter.

Okay!

It's weird to hear them laugh exactly the same but what have I said wrong?

"You're exactly the Isabella Classen we're looking for!" Mr. Cowell says. "Who knew our Isabella would come in just like that without auditioning!"

I look between them confused. "I don't understand."

Paul smiles at me before explaining. "It means you're acting just like your role already. My Dad loves that."

They didn't understand me exactly. I can't do it!

I look at Mr. Cowell who's look has softened now.

"Now that we have discussed this, it's time to meet Jace Norman!"

As though my heart wasn't already beating by Paul and his father's appearance, mentioning Jace Norman's name awoken it more.

My heart begins to sink.

"Uuum, i, I just think it's too early to meet him."

Paul frowns whilst his father laughs again.
Apparently I'm still acting like Isabella Classen.

What they didn't understand was the effect the name Jace Norman had on me.

He's my celebrity crush for crying out loud.

Meeting him has always been my dream but, from afar.

Not to be in the same room together.

Omg!

Mr. Cowell rings Jace and he agrees to coming immediately.

Paul watches me fold and unfold my hands and I frown at him.

It gets weirder when people stare at me like that!

"You're nervous!" He whispers.

I look up at his father who's concentrated on his computer now.
