To Be Different

CHAPTER 16

I was going through a lot managing school, work, family and my love confused life.

Paul didn't manage to help me quit because Jace changed his mind.

And his father was obsessed with putting me on the team.

I just didn't understand why.

Not only was Paul now serious about Hazel, he hated me too.

The only time we exchanged words was on set when we our roles collided.

I set rules and standards for myself.

Work was work.

There was no falling in love. No nothing. Just colleagues with an aim in mind.
I was far better than that.

On a normal school day, I walk into class early as usual.

No one looks at me as usual, I'm that invisible.

There are times when I feel like shouting to the whole class that I work with Jace Cowell and Norman.

But of cause no one would believe that. No one actually cares to believe that.

No one sits on the front seats too, (anymore). That's accept for me.

After Paul distanced himself from me, people started to un follow me on Instagram too but I didn't let it get to me.
I didn't like being the spotlight.

I wasn't fond of it.

I hate being in class. It always consists of Paul and Hazel making it known to everyone that they are the school it couple.

As much as that stung me, I didn't let it get to me.

Anything that happened between Paul and I was a mistake.

A mistake that ruined a special bond.

I failed to understand how he managed everything.

From being the school's quarterback to being the smartest guy in class, to being a great actor.

If we were close, I would know.

I guess we'll never know.

Poor Elaina. She follows Paul and Hazel everywhere despite her feelings for him.

I watched everything that went on in class silently.

Everyone hated me.

They didn't like me because of my appearance. I was different and they liked that.

I'm so annoyed by the teacher's late coming to class again that I decide to sleep again.

Like all the other days.

"Oww, I got some juices babe." Hazel's voice echoes around the whole class.

Paul murmurs something to her that I don't quite hear.

It stinks to know how our bond has really changed.

Despite him murmuring, Hazel intends to shout instead.

"I've heard there's chaos in Hollywood." She says.

Everyone listens to her now. It is quite an interesting topic.

"Jace Norman posted a picture on set. I think they are filming a new movie." She says excitedly.

I tense whilst everyone screams in excitement.

I imagine Paul's look. He is probably uncomfortable right now.

"Really?" He says uncomfortably.

"That's not it." She says. I sit up straight, not wanting to miss out on this one.

"Who cares anyways. We'll know when it's out." He tells her. I can tell he doesn't want to continue this conversation.

"I know but you won't want to miss out on this one." Hazel beams excitedly. The whole class chatters along with her. "In the pictures background was non other than Jace Cowell."

Elaina screams along with her. Meanwhile, everyone takes their phone for confirmation.

I'm so glad that I'm not in the picture.

"What?" Paul asks a bit off. He's getting so angry and I know exactly why.

Or I think I know exactly why.

"Jace and Jace are both incredibly hot and there's so much competition between them. They don't like each other."

I'm so surprised by this!

I look behind and make eye contact with Paul.

He looks away quickly, anger evident in his eyes.

"That's not true." Paul defends.

"After that story of them being played by a girl, what's her name again..."

'"Hazel..." Paul says tensely.

"Babe what? Breanna Gail. That's her and she ended up choosing Jace Norman!"

I'm so shocked and surprised by the news. I mean it makes so much sense now.

Paul's silence kinda scares me. If he doesn't want this people to know his identity, then why was he acting up now?

"Not only that,"

"Fucking Hazel." Paul snaps at her. "Don't you fucking shut up?"

Everyone stares at them shocked, the whole class has their mouths wide.

She stares at him surprised too, her tears almost falling out.

"W-what? Is it because they are hotter than you?""

The whole class boos that. The class it couple ain't only coming in hot, they are entertaining us too.

"You are so fucking clueless." He literally stands on his feet in fume. " Come back to me when you have controlled your fucking mouth."

He storms out of class madly. Hazel dramatically storm's out of class too with Elaina hot on her trails.

The class begins to chatter excitedly about their it couple.

Will they break up?

I don't even care. I lay back on my desk except the one question at the back of my neck burning deeply.

Paul and Jace hate each other.

I thought it was just the onset filming hate.
The usual.

But Breanna Gail?

Who is she?

Why do they really hate each other?
