It took hours before Heejun and finally got the dog to calm down and get away from Naehyun as soon as possible. Naehyun, on the other hand, was still catching his breath after that chase with the Chihuahua.
His eyes widened at the dog and even pouted as it growled nonstop at him. I could tell that Naehyun was still a bit enraged since he didn't expect that dog to bite his pants and he'd be screaming around the place and let everyone see him climb a tree.
He only cleared his throat after, looking at all of us with a frown. "So, shall we go?"
Gunyeo couldn't help but snicker at this as the youngest only gave him a quick glare before sighing. "Yeo, you should be forgetting that already. It was embarrassing."
"I just couldn't forget how that dog hung on the end of your pants as he bite you," Gunyeo reminded as Naehyun almost facepalmed at this. He knew that Gunyeo wouldn't even try to forget that moment just so he could tease him more in the future.
I only smiled at this and noticed that Heejun had finally locked the gate of his house before turning back around to face us. He then grinned before nodding in the direction of the restaurant. "Ready to go?"
We decided to finally walk there and I noticed how Yoonwoo calmly smiles as he took the surroundings and gazed at them with such interest. Even with his AirPods on, he seems to be chill and only answers when he is called to. This would also apply to the four, who were already excited and possibly hungry enough to run immediately as the restaurant came into view.
Yoonwoo and I were left as we both decided to walk slowly than rush. In a few seconds, we followed after and we saw them picking out a table next to the window. It was a perfect six-seat, three people on both sides.
Jihun saw us and stood up. "If you want to sit with Naehyun, then—"
"No, you don't have to stand up. I'll be alright if I'm just next to the window." He then nods as he lets me go sit right next to the window while he sits beside me and Gunyeo followed right after. Yoonwoo, on the other hand, was the one across and the one who seems to be in deep thought.
I'm guessing it was the Airpods this time.
Taking the menu, I decided to look for something that can be affordable enough and not that expensive on my budget. Seeing dumplings on the list, I decided to order that one and a Jjajangmyeon. Most people said that it was one of the dishes that a tourist should try as soon as they get to Korea. Even if I was an exchanged student, I hadn't had the time to order it.
The others, however, went for Samgyeopsal except for Yoonwoo. I heard him saying his order but I couldn't quite hear the meal that he told the waiter before he then kept silent once again. The only thing I could do right now was to wait as I heard the three chatter. Jihun beside me only used his phone before turning it off and facing me.
"You're not used to the cuisines, aren't you?"
He seemed to have read me like an open book. I only nod at this without looking back at him. I decided to just stare outside since I would only be more embarrassed if I do stare back. It was true that even if I did know the meals offered in most restaurants, I was still scared myself about ordering them. I guess I was terrified of trying it out myself than eating with a lot of people.
He noticed how I acted and felt him nod. "Alright, it's okay, to be honest. Take your time and I'll assure you, you'll like most of them."
It took a few minutes for the waiter to come back with our meals. As they were fixing the Samgyeopsal, I decided to take a bite out of the dumplings as soon as my meal had arrived. It was soon followed by my Jjajangmyeon but I couldn't help myself with the mandu.
When I finally chewed on it, my eyes went wide and my mouth went agape.
Too hot!
I only closed my eyes and tried to chew slowly but it really wasn't helping. I couldn't just scream or else I'll bother most of them. Though, Yoonwoo saw my expression and decided to chuckle — gaining the attention of everyone. Once they looked at me next, Gunyeo and Naehyun started to worry as my cheeks puffed red.
"Hey, are you okay? Your cheeks are red. Are you blushing?" I shook my head at this and pointed at the dumplings in front of me before waving my hand in a motion. They realized soon after and then tried to get some water.
However, Jihun had beat them to it, handing me one of his coffee milk before the waiter could even pour water into the glasses. I then thanked him, receiving the drink, and made sure to drink so it wouldn't burn much inside.
Yoonwoo chuckled as soon as I finally recovered and ate his Budae Jjigae before he realized that it was a bit spicy than he expected. This time, he took a glass of water to relieve it, only for Gunyeo trying to stop him seconds later. Though, he didn't hear it and decided to drink more.
The only problem is that water doesn't really help. I've tried it before and it only burns you more.
Took quite a few minutes before he realized this and just accepted his fate — frowning as he could probably still feel the spiciness of the food. Heejun only shook his head at what happened and decided to start the toast.
"To us, for winning the matches that we had entered these past three days."
"We've done our best, team."
