There was no denying it anymore. This day isn't going to end well at all. I could feel it. Everything seems to slow down around me.

The faces became a blur once I finally reached the university. Footsteps echoed as I ran up the stairs and finally reached my classroom --- sliding it open with a loud slam.

Why am I feeling like this?

Everyone looked at me, their eyes curious and wide as they saw me. Some had jumped and some had raised their eyebrows at me in realization.

My heart pounded but finally felt at ease when I had counted how many students that were inside.

Still 14. The others were not here.

Sighing in relief, I finally went to the middle and sat on my chair.

The boy beside me then rolled their eyes and faced me, his eyes piercing my figure as I catched my breath. Closing his book, he crossed his arms and flicked my arm.

Jerking at his action, I gave him a glare as the amusement in his face was evident.

"10 minutes late," he told me as I gave him a look and stuck my tongue out. There was no way that I'd let him win the bet.

"Hey, you're just early than me, Gunyeo. But, that doesn't mean that I'm late."

You see, we challenged ourselves the other day.

Whoever goes to school late will be the one buying snacks and drinks for the two remaining student.

And since we were three --- we're just waiting to see if Naehyun would come up late or still catch up before the bell rings.

"We still have at least 15 minutes before classes start, you know." My fingers pointed at him in a knowingly manner, teasing him as he clicked his tongue and shook his head.

Putting his book aside, he them stood up --- fixing his uniform and tie before getting his chair and sat right in front of me.

Putting my bag on the floor, I smiled and pulled out my red journal.

"I guess but I'm sure that Naehyun's probably late as usual and he'll be the one who'll lose the bet," he replied to me as I just hummed in response.

Of course, I didn't argue to that. That was true. Naehyun had been always running late and the one getting stuck in the office at most times.

We kept on telling him that he should've set his alarm on time but there was always this same answer we got from him.

I always do. But, the alarm won't work.

Maybe that was a lie? Actually, we could never tell.

As soon as we saw our classmates going in one-by-one as the time passes, we got worried.

If this keeps up, Naehyun will surely get scolded by the professor again. And if he fails to comply, he'd probably get suspended for days until it's lifted.

Gunyeo noticed the look on my face and waved his hands at me, trying to catch my attention.

"Look, you shouldn't be too worried at all. Naehyun's probably on his way as we speak. Let's just wait for a few minutes."
