It was Christmas Eve and therefore only a week until Edwin would attend Hogwarts night classes. The twins' shop had only become busier during the week build-up to Christmas. The three boys were knackered after working non-stop but were looking forward to spending Christmas at the Burrow as they did every year. This would be Edwin's first Christmas away from his parents and he was rather nervous for a reason he could not quite explain.

Lobo brushed his body against Edwin's leg before letting out a lengthy meow, "What's up, buddy?" Edwin asked, and Lobo immediately led him to his food bowl.

Edwin sighed, "You've already had all your meals today!" he insisted. Lobo stared up at Edwin with his pupils enlarged and squeaked out another meow. "Fine, just don't tell George..." Edwin said as he removed a packet of chicken bites from the refrigerator and tossed Lobo a couple.

"Don't tell George, what?" George questioned upon entering the kitchen.

"Nothing!"

"You've given him the good chicken again, haven't you?"

"It's Christmas!" Edwin protested, puppy dog eyes almost as good as Lobo's.

"It's Christmas Eve!" George said as he play-fought Edwin to the ground.

Like always, George had ended up sitting on top of Edwin, he leaned his face towards Edwin's with just an inch between them, the pair were out of breath and took a moment to gaze into each other's eyes, "it's snowing!" George said, noticing the white flakes dancing through the night sky, meanwhile dissolving any tension between the pair. He dragged Edwin up from the floor and over to the window to admire the view, "Get dressed, we're going out!"

The pair hurriedly put on thick jumpers, hats, scarves, gloves, the lot. "FRED! We're going out in the snow!" George shouted as he knocked on Fred's bedroom door. No reply.

"I'm sure he'll come out if he wants to!" Edwin claimed, he was simply eager to get out into the snow and rushed down the stairs, George in hand.

Small twinkling lights lined Diagon Alley, all leading up to the main feature being a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, which stood tall and well above the stores. They followed the chain of lights, heavy boots crunching in the snow, fingers struggling to entwine through the mittens.

Upon reaching the tree, their eyes sparkled almost as brightly as the star on top.

"Isn't it beautiful?" George whispered, gazing up at the magical masterpiece.

"You or the tree?" Edwin said jokingly, earning himself a punch from George.

"You're so embarrassing!" George laughed.

The couple laughed, vapour escaping their lips. They had matching rosy red cheeks and tips of noses.

"Wait here-" George said before Apparating.

"What?" Edwin practically asked himself. He looked to either side of him until he suddenly heard an odd noise approaching from behind, he instinctively ducked out of the way as a snowball the size of a football flew overhead and fell in front of him, shattering into many piles of snow.

"What the hell, George?" Edwin gasped.

"Me?!" George said, mouth agape, "How on earth did you hear the snowball coming?"

Edwin shrugged in response.

"Better not be the wolf in you, he's ruining our fun!"

"Sorry, I'll just go and tell him to cut it out!"

The pair laughed. "But seriously, that's not fair. I wasted a massive snowball there."

"Yeah, I bloody saw it! It looked big enough to knock me out!"
