IzuOcha: Love is the Answer

Chapter Eighteen: The Reckoning Part 2

Author's Note: I know that the second user in the actual story (currently only seen in the manga) is different from the one I'm about to reveal here, but my version will help greatly with the romantic aspect of my story. Read on to find out what power the second user gives to Deku!

All For One lay on the ground in a daze. He felt bitter-sweet that his long time nemesis was finally dead, but lost his arm from All Might's last attack and he in general was in worse condition than when the two of them last fought, notwithstanding he was conscious. I better be careful or that boy may just overpower me!

Meanwhile, Izuku Midoriya was in perhaps the most difficult situation he'd ever faced before. His childhood hero and mentor All Might was no longer in this world. He himself was severely roughed up and needed time to recover but didn't have it.

And yet in spite of all that, he was still worried the most about Ochako. She was beat up pretty badly herself while laying on the ground nearby but at least she was conscious again. He barely noticed the first time she spoke after waking up but he was still in a daze from everything else. "Deku-kun, are you okay? What happened?" Love is the Answer. The voice said to him again.

Then in a sudden moment of shock, a flashback of what the second user said in his vision with the other One For All users came into Midoriya's mind:

" Now that we know we can trust you, we have one last ability that you need to learn about, and it's from the second user."

The second user gets up from her chair as Nana sits back down and addresses Midoriya. "The quirk that I was born with is that I could observe another person's quirk and develop a near replica of what they could do, but it's never an exact copy. You remember the time you had to fight against Gentle Criminal and his accomplice La Brava right? Well subconsciously, I observed that girl's quirk that enhanced his strength by telling him she loved him and decided to replicate that power so that you can now use a similar one yourself."

Izuku gasps. He remembers that surge of power he had to deal with and felt a sense of awe and excitement that he could now use that power.

"Wow! I can't wait to use that ability! What's different about this version though?" asks Midoriya.

"What remains the same is that the stronger your love is for a given person, the more powerful they will become while you focus in on them. However, what's different is that once you choose someone to use this power on, you won't be able to choose anyone else for twenty four hours. I'm telling you all this because no matter how strong you become, no one can do everything alone, so make sure you use it on someone that you truly care about deeply. If you get into trouble in battle, this ability could help turn the tide if the right person is with you."

Back in the present, the look of Izuku's face concerned Ochako and she spoke once more. "What's going on Deku-kun? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost??"

"Uraraka-san, this is going to sound crazy, but you're the only one who can win against All For One right now! You've got to get up and fight!"

"What are you talking about?! I'm not even in his league! Even in his weakened condition!" she says fearfully.

"Look, just trust me on this one! I need time to charge up a finishing attack on him, and you're the only one who can help me! He's still going to be a tough fight, but I have one last ability I can use to defeat him and it's something that I have to pass on to someone else." She looks puzzled. "What are you..."
