Authors Note: If you're like me then this chapter disappointed you even more than the last one. Not only did I come away from it upset that it wasn't crystal clear whether or not IzuOcha was canon, but I also was disappointed to see Deku wasting away as a quirkless professor at UA High after a time skip. And what about things like what happened to Deku's dad? What were the other class 1A students up to? There's just all kinds of things I wished that had been wrapped up better and this is what I hope to resolve in my version.

For this version, I will use very little of the actual 430 chapter. The time skip will be 10 years instead of 8. Deku will have gotten one for all back, and reign as the number one hero. Whenever he narrated an episode I always envisioned him talking to a large group of people such as a student body when he was older, so that's what I will have him do here for context.

_____________

It was an amazing sight to behold for the incoming students at UA high school. The new symbol of peace was right in front of them. He disliked being called by that title because he feels it belongs to All Might, not to mention that he has always tried to stress the importance of not putting so much responsibility on one person, yet society as a whole can't help but think of Deku that way anyway. He was asked to give a commencement speech for them to pump them up for the trials that lay ahead for their hero journey and several of his former classmates were in attendance for it.

In spite of speaking for over an hour and a half at that point, hardly anyone noticed. Over the years, Deku never really broke his habit with muttering, but he did somehow manage to turn it into a positive. There was something about it that made his speaking style relatable, down to earth, and always interesting no matter the topic. He could've gone on another hour and a half and they would've still ate it all up! He'd recounted major story after major story of his hero academia and what brought him to this point with plenty of moments of gasping, laughing, or crying from the audience. But he just finished talking about his final battle with Shigaraki and the aftermath of it, so the audience of kids sensed that the end of his remarks were coming.

"To circle back around to what I started out saying, people are not born equal. We each take shape differently, which leads us to care about others. It's because one's mind and body are unlike anyone else's that we're drawn to others in the search for common ground. This was the truth about society that I learned ten years ago at age 17. Even now those voices encourage me. I may be the number one hero in the ways of ability and what I'm capable of accomplishing, but even I can't be everywhere to save everyone. That's where each of you must come in. If sparring a thought for someone else in need is the first step towards herodom, then you can be just as great a hero. I was hardly cut out for the dream I held at first, but it came true anyway! And the story I began when my body took action before I could think, is miraculously able to continue on thanks to so many different people!

"First, I wish to thank the one person I've looked up to since I was a boy, All Might, for giving a quirkless weakling like me the opportunity to become what I'd always dreamed of! And I'm thankful for his continued mentoring of me behind the scenes.

"Next, I wish to thank one of my dearest friends Eri-chan! She's blossomed into a beautiful kind hearted soul. Her power was difficult to control at first, but once she got the hang of it, she not only restored Lemillion's power to him, but it enabled me to get back One For All after some further refining and quirk awakening on her part. She offered the same to All Might but he's fine with stepping out of the spotlight for the current generation. And just as I told her the day I rescued her, I'm saying it again now: her power truly is a blessing!
