I sat in the library trying to focus on my books often times I looked out to the window to the garden flooded with autumnal colours and leaves but I looked away as I saw ladies walking in the gardens I knew they would discuss me all the ladies around the kingdom did, 'a virgin two months after the wedding' I knew they all discussed it was the rumour and conversations that were going on behind my back I had little care for the discussions of the common folks I knew my husband was happy and honestly I was too. I did my best to stay strong and not let my fear seem as though the south had begun small attacks on our borders, the war was days away and we all knew it, we all knew we sat on the brink of war with the south, women were buying weapons, knives and small swords with holsters to easily hid, armoured corsets, and bars for there homes doors. Men were dusting their amour and weapons many had been stored away for so many years they needed to take them to the blacksmith to widen them and add extra plates or even have new amour made altogether, taking their sons to get them amour and weapons made so they could be protected, families at the northern border shipping their children far to young to be given their own weapons to hold away to the family they had living north or just sending them north in the hopes of keeping them safe. I feared for my people, my kingdom but I couldn't show it as their queen I had to stay strong and not let them see the pain and not let them know of the fear that ran through all of me

"My lady" I heard Richard call as he ran into the room "your needed in the throne room"
