I shut my little door taking my little chest plate off from where the guard boys have been training us all
It had been a rough week, so much to learn about all the little matters Thomas deals with on a day to day basis, as well as the learning, how to use a sword, how to hide daggers, how to use the various weapons we had in the castle. I had yet to receive a letter from Thomas which made me unbelievably nervous about his well-being but I suppose no news is good news. I rubbed some lotion on my sorry bruises and climbed into bed, the bed so cold even if it was so soft I didn't feel cosy at all. I pulled down Thomas' pillow and rested my head there trying my best to get some sleep…

I stood on the steps of our castle watching the staff men and women loading up our carriages we always spent the winters In the acesstral castle in the centre of the kingdom but then we would spend the summers by the sea at widows peak. I loved the sunshine meerly as a sign of summer that we could return to the castle I was born in, and honestly the one I truly felt at home in holding my dolly close to me

"Come on little sunflower let's go off to the castle" my father smiled picking me up and taking me to the carriage.

I was so excited the moment I saw the tower at widows peak the carriges stopped in the courtyard and all the staff and people who lives here stood to welcome us before we headed inside our staff unpacking for us I went to my parents bed chamber as I usually did to play dollies on there floor as they unpacked greeting there usuall staff here as I plaid

"That sun is just beautiful" my mother smiled "send up some strawberries from the kitchens will you" she told one of the maids who happily scurried off I paid little attention to the goings on just playing with my dollies till I hear the door open again which perked up my interest I saw there in the door was was a puzzling sight, a little boy, he couldn't have been more then a year or two older then me clearly a servents son from the kitchens and he had in his hand the large container of fresh summer strawberries he saw me and smiled at me a little before he seemed scared of all the people in the room

"Thomas. It's alright darling, go on" my father's scullery maid whispered to him clearly that was her son he stepped over bringing my mother the strawberries

"Berries. For the queen" he said softly

"Thank you little one" she smiled petting his hair "run along now" she told him and he nodded heading out the room he stopped just outside the door and gently waved at me I didn't reply I didn't think it wise so I went back to my dolls.

I walked beside my father as we took a stroll in the sun around the keep and courtyard of widows peak having returned yet again for the summer time holding my dolly in my hand so I wouldn't loose it my father's hand in the other as he explained all about this beautiful gothic castle, I looked around the yard and saw a familiar sight that little boy, he works in the kitchens so I see him around every so often with his mess of golden hair he tends to stick out a bit he saw me across the way and seemed to be staring at me, I smiled and waved at him making him turn bright red and wave back at me.

I yawned sitting up In my bed in my little tower bedroom I sat up with a strech and another yawn rubbing my eyes a little just then I heard a little tap on my door

"Yes?"

"Breakfast my lady" a familiar voice answered back

"Come in" I smiled and he quickly opened my door scurrying in with the tray for my breakfast with tea and toast and even a few little daises in a small egg cup sat on the corner of the tray

"Good morning princess" he smiled sitting the tray over my lap

"Good morning, thank you" I smiled he nodded and hurried out of my room shutting the door behind him, I smiled taking the little dasies adding them to the now forming bunch in the vase beside my bed, everyday he brings me breakfast he gives me some flowers, I never get flowers when anyone else beings my breakfast but they made me so happy just a small little group of flowers no more then four but they filled me with such joy.
