Ash didn't seem just angry. That would be an understatement.

She was fuming.

Her face was dark like a storm clouds. Her eyes were brightening up like a wildfire. Her fists were clenched so much that Jamie thought that he heard them cracking. Her posture was so stiff that she almost imitated a stone statue. She glared right at Cassandra, almost attempting to set her on fire just by staring.

"Oh....this child," Cassandra said, almost pleased to see the girl.

"Ash, I told you to go home," Blaze hissed, quickly striding to Ash.

"What's she doing here?" Ash growled, ignoring Blaze completely. Jamie flinched at her tone. She sounded murderous. She seemed like she was ready to attack Cassandra if said Leader made the wrong move. Surely she pulsated try to do any harm, right?

"Ash, this doesn't concern you," Nexus warned, gripping his staff tight.

"It does!" Ash protested, her hair glowing with embers that started to form. "How can you all treat her like one of you after all she's done?! She doesn't need to be here at all!"

She made a valid point. Cassandra was responsible for Nightmare Island and all the grief that Jasmine had suffered through. She ruined her life and, indirectly, Jamie's. Judging by Ash's reactions, Cassandra had done more than that. With someone like that, how could all the other Island Leaders make a treaty with her? Even if they were scared of her, they shouldn't have done so.

"Poor little child," Cassandra mockingly cooed. Ash's eye twitched a little. "I bet you still go crying for daddy every night. Too bad he's not coming home."

Ash snapped.

In a flash, she grabbed her spear. A cry that would be meant for battle, exploded from her mouth. Embers poured from her hair, like water from a fountain. She launched herself right at Cassandra in complete rage

"Ashley! NO!" Blaze yelled. He wrapped his arm around her waist, securing her successfully. Ash flailed in his grip like a fish. She clawed at him with one hand, while keeping a death grip on her spear. "Believe me, I understand how you feel. But this won't solve anything! Get a hold of yourself! Calm down!"

Ash only responded to that by thrashing like an animal. Blaze only tightened his hold. It was a stalemate to see who was going to break first. Jamie looked around. All but Cassandra watched with extreme tension, seemingly ready to step in if needed. Only Casandra watched with amusement, reviled in the fact that she was untouchable. She was toying with Ash immensely.

After several minutes, the stalemate was broken. Although she was still furious, Ash went semi limp in Blaze's hold. She was still clutching tight to her spear and embers still emerged from her head. She was panting heavily as she had exhausted herself from all of the fight that she had displayed. She that her strength was depleted, Blaze cautiously let her go. He looked like he was ready to grab her again if he had to. Ash glared up at Cassandra again, but then looked at everyone else. All of the others were giving her looks of pity. She caught sight of Jamie's surprised face and she seemed to falter. She suddenly turned on her heel and ran. Her footsteps faded down the hallways.

Jamie felt this overwhelming urge to go to Ash. He needed to make sure that she was okay. He started to step forward when a hand clamped onto his shoulder.

"Let her go, Jamie. Ash needs some time alone," Nexus advised.

"I'm sorry, but I can't do that. I'm worried that she'll harm herself. Please Nexus," Jamie begged, making eye contact with Nexus. The elder contemplated the words before he finally released Jamie.

"Leave your egg with me. It'll be safer here," he advised. Jamie hesitated, but he knew that Nexus was right. He gently placed the egg on the cushion that remained on the table. Ignoring the boastful look from Cassandra and the concerned looks from everyone else, Jamie rushed off. He ignored everything around him as he focused on one thing.

Finding Ash.
