"What do you mean her eyes where glowing?"
After their love confessions in Natasha bedroom Annabelle headed across into her room to clean up, still covered in a mixture of dirt and sweat. James took this as a great opportunity to sneak off and find Natasha and Wanda, hoping they would know something about the glowing eyes.
"They where glowing Nat, Electric and deep blues swirling around her eyes! Kind of like what happens with Wanda actually. Wait - you don't think that she-"
"Abilities? No"
Wanda cut off James' thought process, knowing what she went through to gain her abilities. Not wanting to even think of Annabelle going through something similar at a younger age. It was a painful memory for her.
"I mean, It's not entirely impossible. We don't really know what her life was like before Steve found her. Its just unusual that abilities show up so late in life."
Pondering on their next plan of attack they agreed to keep it between them. Not wanting to spook anyone until they had done further research about the situation. Vowing that one of them will be with Annabelle always to keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn't hurt herself or someone else.
"Hey, Guys. What are you talking about?"
Silence fell over the group as Annabelle made her way into the lounge from freshening up. It was hard not to be suspicious when they had halted on any convocation as she sent into the room, all eyes locked on her.
"I was just suggesting to the girls that you should have a girls day tomorrow, maybe one of those brunch things girls seem to be obsessed with these days."
Rolling her eyes at the old mans attitude to modern trends Annabelle still jumped at the idea to spend the day with her girls.
"Make it a boozy brunch and I'm in!"
Natasha added in excitement. Even if it was a quick cover up on their real intentions she couldn't help but be thrilled by the idea. It had been a while since she had a relaxing, boozy Sunday without being on call.
"Don't expect me to come save you girls when you can't find your way home" Steve chimed in walking past the group.
"Boozy bunch? Count me in!" Sam added, walking up to Annabelle. Picking her up, swinging her around as Annabelle let out a girly squeak. "I love this weekend visit routine you have going" letting her down before placing a kiss on her check.
Looking over at James, Annabelle knew he didn't like the affection that Sam gives her but he didn't seem to be paying much attention today. Following his gaze she realised he was more focused on who just walked in the door.
"Are you a girl now Sam?" Tony said walking in and heading straight to Annabelle, standing as a barrier to her and Sam. "I'll be with Pepper tomorrow for some press conference thing, you girls... can have Happy. I just need him back by 4"
All three girls exchanged looks before agreeing to accept the offer "Thanks Dad!" They said in unison, all three girls giving him a kiss on the check as they walked past.
"3 daughters? god take me now!" Everyone laughed as the group dispersed throughout the compound again.
----
After James and Steve disappeared after dinner, Annabelle headed back into the lounge in search of some evening company. Hearing echoing laughter she knew she was heading to the right place.
"God, you guys make enough noise for 10 people"
Annabelle sat down on the floor next to Wanda leaning back, resting against the couch. Natasha shuffled in the same position across from them, in an absolute fit of laughter. Looking between their bright red, tear covered faces, gasping for air between chuckles.
