The spring breeze was washing through her hair as Oliver knelt down infant of her. Bragging about how perfect his little creation was and that if it wasn't for him she wouldn't be where she is today.

Lifting up the gun to his face the flash backs of her mothers death ran through her mind as a sickening smirk washed over his face.

"you.killed.my.mum!" the words washed over her letting off four gun shots.

"Chip, CHIP!.... ANNBELLE! WAKE UP!"

Annabelle shot up in her bed, dripping with sweat. Hyperventilating as she came back to reality. The dim light from the lamp allowed her to focus and see who was in her room, quickly silhouettes turned into family.

Steve was hovering over her with his hands on her shoulder from shaking her out of her nightmare. Natasha was sat down at the end of the bed with Wanda by her side. Annabelle let her face fall into her hands letting out a sigh.

"I-I'm sorry I woke you guys"

"Whats going on A.B thats the fourth nightmare this week" Natasha questioned.

"And each time you shake the compound, screaming for Bucky." Steve added. "You haven't had nightmares in a while and now..."

"I thought they stopped when I arrived back, apparently not"

Everyone gave her a sympathetic look, taking pity on the girl. She threw her head back into her pillow with a sigh and slight grunt. During the day she was fine, she was stable. At night, when her subconscious takes over, she had no control anymore and it scared her.

Wanda walked over to the other side of the bed and scooted in next to Annabelle with Natasha following shortly behind her. Steve pulled up a chair next to her bed, grabbing an extra blanket from Annabelle closet. Without saying a word to each other they moved perfectly in tune.

"You guys don't have....."

"Just think of it as an old school sleepover, like we used to have" Wanda said cutting her off.

"Except this time we have your brother watching over us" Natasha added, her attempt to lighten the mood.

The group let out a unison chuckle as Annabelle rolled over, snuggling into Wanda's side.

Stroking Annabelle's head Wanda hushed her back off to sleep. Exchanging looks of worry between Steve and Natasha.

Leaning back in the chair once the girls where sound asleep Steve closed his eyes, falling into a light slumber.

As the sun shined through the blinds Annabelle's eyes flickered open. Sliding her self up on the bed she took in the situation in front of her.

Wanda was pressed up against her right side, cuddling in trying not to fall out of the bed. On her other side Natasha was squished up against her, being spooned by Steve. She must have been out cold to not notice everyone squeezing into bed with her.

Letting out a sigh, rolling her eyes, Annabelle slowly slipped out of the covers, crawling to the end of the bed. Hurring into the bathroom to get changed.

Pulling on her runners she slipped out of the room. Since being back and with abilities her sleeping schedule has been a mess. Averaging a couple of hours of sleep a night, even though she was emotionally exhausted.

Finding the more active she was throughout the day helped her stay asleep. Running through the court yard she made her way to the big metal doors. Pushing it open, the lights flicked on. The cold room was filled with thick silence, hearing every movement she made.

The training shed quickly became her favourite place to be, alone with her thoughts while also letting off some steam. Connecting her phone through the speakers she blasted some classic AC/DC, Back In Black started as she walked over to the wall of dumbbells.

Picking up an easy 30kgs she made her way to the bench, working on her shoulder press. Always starting off with a split weights day followed by some cardio. Today she focused on up body strength, knowing full well that was her 'weakest' point. If you can have a weakness with solider serum running through your veins.

Dripping with sweat while filling the room up with loud grunts and weird dance moves in-between sets she sensed a change in presents. Sam walked over pulling up the bench next to her with a proud smile on his face.

"Knew I would find you here"

"Had some built up steam to blow off"

"Yeah, thanks for the wakeup call last night, you broke my fish tank." He chuckled out. "-Everything okay?" He asked after noticing her change in posture.

"Well I have the Soldier serum and telepathic abilities running through my veins that I'm still learning to control, while my dad banished my I guess 'ex' boyfriend out of my life and now I'm back to having nightmares." Annabelle got up to put the weights away. "but yeah besides that, I'm peachy"

Walking over to the boxing bag Annabelle started throwing punches, getting more and more aggressive as she let her emotions escape through her fists. Throwing a few more in before sending the bag flying across the room.

"You know" Sam said walking over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Im always here if you need to talk"

"Thanks Sam, but you're not the one that I need to have a talk with." Unstrapping her hands, she searched through her bag finding her head phones. "I'm going for a run, meet you for breakfast?" she yelled, placing her head phones over her ears.

Hating to admit it but she quickly realised why Steve goes on a run every morning, with the energy and power they have its the only way they feel free and think about things with out bashing through a dozen boxing bags.

With her telepathic abilities Annabelle's emotions where always heightened and never being the best at dealing with them she was going on 2 -3 runs a day, especially if something was getting to her.

Walking into the kitchen and straight to the fridge Annabelle got out milk and a mixture of berries before walking over to the pantry and pulling out some corn flakes.

Pouring in a large amount of corn flakes and milk into the bowl, followed by a punnet of blue berries, raspberries, some strawberries she decided to also as a cut up banana. Drizzling some fresh honey over the top before placing her hot toast on the plate, lathering it with butter watching it melt through.

Joining Wanda and Natasha at the table with the mountain of food. They both looked at her in amusement. A month ago they struggled to get her to eat a slice of toast in the morning, now she almost eats the kitchen.

"Between the runs and lack of shower plus the amount of food you've been eating, you'd think you're your brother!" Natasha chuckled out, taking in both of them as Steve walked in. Covered in sweat walking straight for the fridge.

"Well we do share the same DNA" Annabelle pointed out. Shovelling a mouthful of cereal in her mouth.

Steve walked over placing a glass of water next to his sister, knowing she always forgets hydrate after a workout.

"Actually Wanda, I was wondering if you could help me with something. Can we meet in my room after this?"

"Ofcourse, always happy to"

Annabelle flashed her a smile before finishing off her breakfast. Hoping to get some insight on her abilities and how she can control them better.
