"Why did I agree to this" Annabelle whined out, taking another long step onto another rock inside a very steep hill.
"Because you wanted to spend time with your brother"
"Next time, can we go to a bar or go shopping"
"You're thinking of Tony" Steve laughed out "Just wait, the view will be great."
Even when Annabelle was physically able to hike up ridiculous mountains she still hated it. It was long, dirty and boring. Especially with Steve. At least with the girls or Sam there would be joking around and gossiping, Steve was always such an Army brat.
The heated spring sun was high in the sky as they reached their resting point. Annabelle ran for the large smooth off rock, lounging herself on it, throwing some dramatic moans in.
Laughing at her dramatic ways Steve sat down next to her. Taking in the breath taking view, trees and green land for miles, barley a house or building in site.
"Its nice, ill give you that"
"I brought Nat up here for a date a few years ago, we ended up falling asleep under the stars."
Letting out a girly awh Annabelle's heart melted, they where so perfect for each other. Her best friend and her brother, it was great always having them around, even when she was third wheeling most of the time now.
"Wait, Nat told me about that night.. EW!" She spat out in discuss jumping off of the rock, knowing exactly what happened on it.
Their chuckles fell to silence and thoughts wondered through Annabelle's mind. It was such a beautiful place to come, sit and think. Even when you didn't want to.
Sitting on the rocky ground Annabelle cuddled her knees, resting her chin on them, letting out a sigh of air. Taking in the view in front of her she couldn't help but think of that one person she tried so hard to forget.
"You know he misses you to." Steve pulled up a spot next to her. "We could talk to Tony and-"
Shifting in her spot to face her brother. "He left Steve, he said I love you and left. Yes dad has control over the compound but last time I checked I have phone, I can drive. If he really missed me, I would know."
After the awful hike back down the mountain and the drive to the compound Annabelle was in desperate need of a shower and food.
Walking into the kitchen smelling like sweet vanilla, Annabelle was greeted with a lunch spread set for a king or better yet a god.
"Steve said you where hungry" Thor stated gesturing to the platter of food he prepared for her, paired with a caramel iced latte.
Pulling up a seat she was in awh of his beautiful nature. She really did miss having him around. A stable and secure male. Blinking her eyes trying to escape where her mind was heading she dug in.
Bagel with cream cheese, ham and pepper. She melted into it as her mouth watered. Fresh, creamy and delicious. Thor watched her, taking in every last detail of expression on her face. Finding comfort in her enjoyment, even if it was from something as little as food.
Helping with the dishes Annabelle scooped up a handful of dish bubble, splattering them down Thor's face. They both erupted with laughter as Thor returned the soapy act.
"Hey, we are putting on a movie if you want to join" Wanda exclaimed from the door way with a sweet smile.
Arriving in the theatre Annabelle went straight for the snack bar. Picking up popcorn and chocolate, mixing them through as she sat next to Thor.
