I stared up at the camera in the corner of the room with anger plastered all over my face. "Let me out." I demanded.
"See, now, I'm afraid I can't do that." Scarlet teased.
"This isn't funny."
"Oh, I beg to differ. We haven't properly spoken for a while, have we? Although, that is your fault."
"I'm sorry about what I did, okay? It wasn't right, I know, but that doesn't mean you can go all physco on my friends and I. Like, kidnapping Sadie? Are you insane? Ugh, forget it. What do I have to do to just get out of here?"
"I suppose I should be nice to you since you've had enough drama in your life lately."
"Why do I feel like you're not going to do that?"
"Ahh, you know me so well. I'm afraid I have to go now, but you'll have lots of company very, very soon. Oh, and one of them has a little diamond key that you'll need to unlock the door to get out of here. Enjoy!" Then, there was silence. The kind of silence that drives you insane. I threw my head back and laid on the floor, staring up at the ceiling. I was starting to wonder what the others were doing when something caught my eye in the corner of the room. Screams of fear escaped my lips when I realised what was here with me. Hundreds of spiders were creeping in through a crack in the wall. "Someone let me out!" I screamed. No one could hear me. Not that they would be able to do anything, anyway. The spiders got closer and closer. "Make it stop!" I cried. Then, I saw a glimmer within the crowd of black: the key. No way was I getting that. My breathing was sharp and sparse and my hands were shaking uncontrollably. "Don't be a baby, Avery." I told myself. I felt as if I was suffocating. The room had suddenly gotten smaller, or at least it felt that way. I took a deep breath and slowly edged towards my worst nightmare. Slowly, my hand reached into the thick black cloud that stretched across the wall and ceiling. Tiny legs crept all over my skin, sending shivers through my entire body. The touch of the cold metal had never been so comforting. Quickly, I pulled my arm away, shaking and slapping myself to get all of the spiders off. Trying to force the key into the lock was so difficult. Had I been given the right key? Just then, I heard a "click" and the door swung open. I was free. I was done. Now all I have to do is pray someone will be here with me soon.
