"What in the fucking world?" Clara yelled, staring at the scampered mess of a cake lying in chunks on the counter and on the floor of the kitchen. A huge chunk of cake had gone missing, and Clara almost had a heart attack, watching hours of her hard work ruined in a scuffed part of the cake.
"Lexi! Get over here right now!" she screeched, wanting to get answers for this.
"I am going to kill her," she bellowed to Harry, furious at herself for leaving the cake in the open, where Lexi would have easily found it and had a mouth full.
Lexi snuck out of her room and crawled behind the couch. She hid behind the curtains, hoping Clara wouldn't notice she's here. Looking through the curtains for her sister, she peeked her little head out.
"Lexi, you know, I can clearly see you from here?" The big sister said, annoyed with the little one.
The 6-year-old girl came out from her hiding spot and Clara asked, "Lexi! why?- Why? Why? Why did you do this?"
As her eyes wandered around, she murmured innocently, "I did what?"
"You know what you did. Admit it and apologize"
"No, I did not eat the cake."
Lexi was caught when Clara said, "I didn't say anything about the cake." She bent over to remove the cake from the little one's mouth with her thumb, as the cake was all over her face, her hands, and her little dress.
"I-I-I'm sorry Clara, I-I just wanted to taste the cream on top and I-I-I couldn't control. It was so tasty." She stammered, giving those glossy heart eyes to Clara.
Clara tilted her head and sighed, but didn't reply.
"Clara, you're being very insensitive. I mean she even said sorry" Harry defended Lexi, and she got behind him, gripping his jeans for protection.
Harry lifted her up and cooed "It's okay love, don't cry"
"Alright, I'm going to let this go, but I'm going to ground you for 3 days" Clara said fonding over the two of them.
She pouted and looked at Harry, asking for help "Three days? That seems unfair for such a little mistake. No way, maybe only today."
"Whatever!" Clara resigned.
Thanks Harry! Lexi beamed, hugging him, and placing a light kiss on his cheek. Harry chuckled and gently placed her down, and she trotted down to her room and closed the door.
"You're way too easy for kids, aren't you? Your kids are going to be so spoiled" Clara murmured.
"You'll keep them in control," he replied, cleaning the mess. "You can be the strict one, and I can be the cool one" Clara smiled at his silliness.
It's been almost a week since Harry showed up at Clara's work. They have been hanging out, but they weren't as affectionate as before. He gave her the space she needed and didn't complain, but she longed for the day when she could kiss him again. They had made out so many times before, right at the moment, so this feeling was foreign to her, but she loved that feeling of desire.
"Wait, are you fixing the cake?" She said sitting on the couch, resting her arms on the top for comfort.
"Yeah, I know a tad bit about cakes, I used to work in a bakery" He began making the whipping cream and adding the color to it.
"Really?" Clara asked in disbelief, a few days ago, he mocked her work, and now he says he worked in a bakery? Well, that's new information.
"Back in Cheshire, when I lived with my mum - took a girl home every night, ah, things were so simple back then"
She did feel a little jealous dreaming about all the dirty things he did to random girls everyday. She wondered how he appeared back then, were the girls seduced by his curls, his eyes or his charm? "To put your bun in the oven?" she joked.
"Shut up," he told her as he walked over to her.
"Make me"
The minute she said it, he wasted no time to hover over her and kiss her. She fell back onto the couch and smiled through the kiss.
Lexi gagged, glancing at the scene and closing her eyes in disbelief. "Ew, gross. What are you two doing?" she said.
Harry quickly got off her and CLara straightened my hair. "Uh, Lexi, what do you want?"
"Nothing, Mom is coming to pick me up. I'm going to Lily's to play."
"You're grounded, remember?"
"I'm going to tell my mom what you just did, unless..." Lexi said, shocking Clara.
"Are you trying to blackmail me?"
"Maybe," she said uncertainly, raising her hands.
"What do you want?" Clara asked Lexi's demands for keeping her mouth shut.
"Well, it's simple really, I'm not grounded anymore." She replied, and Clara doubted if she really was a 6-year-old. Lexi was too smart for her age, but she didn't have any choice but to give in and let her go.
"Okay, but on one condition, don't ever touch my stuff again."
"Agreed sis. Love you," she gushed and ran out to the front door to wait on the porch for her mom, her tiny purse dangling along the way.
"Love you more" Clara laughed at her little sisters mighty tricks to have her way. Lexi is likely to become something like Kelly as she grows, but she could not imagine what that will look like.

Hey luvs,
Lexi is a cute monster, isn't she? What's going to happen at the party? I promise, we are reaching there. But be aware, it's gonna take up a few chapters, as it contains a little bit of drama. This chapter was needed because I wanted to take upon Clara and Harry's relationship before the storm comes.
Also, the next update might be a little late, as I have final exams going on, but I will keep writing and try to publish a new one whenever I can.
Hope you liked this chapter. Comment and vote ;)
XOXO,
