Harry drove to the Cox's house in the middle of the night, following the address Isabel had reluctantly message him but not without going over all the things he should/shouldn't do which both Louis and Isabel took turns to point out though his phone's speaker. He wasn't half-listening but his mind was on constant run nd high on adrenaline as he drove through the streets with just below allowed speed.
He pulled into the driveway once he confirmed with Isabel the exact location of the house and turned off the ignition.
"Do not ever ask her if she's on her period" Louis chided, "Her mood swings will be full on that time and she will, I swear to god, kick you in the nuts or shove you down the chimney. My experience tell me so and I share you the words of wisdom passes on by the great 'Barney Stinson'. "
This story was long back when Louis asked a girl he was dating if she was on her period because she said Simon Cowell was hot. And the rest is history. But that's a story for another time.
"Right. Okay guys, I'm at her house now, I should go. I'll see you later." he spoke, not wanting to waste any time. He was on a mission, mission to win back his girl.
"In all seriousness Harry, don't fuck this up." Louis added.
"All the best. Don't let her go this time," Isabel remarked. "This maybe your last shot, don't waste it"
"I won't. Thanks for this guys. Really" Harry stated. "Okay, bye. I'll call you later," He spoke before ending the call and getting out of the car.
Harry looked around the house and the neighborhood was eerily quiet, considering it's in the middle of the night. He checked, both sides of the road if there was anyone pondering the streets but finding no one, he walked further into the house.
There was no way he could enter through the font door and be interrogated for his appearance at this time by her mother, so he thought of the ways he can enter, well, sneak into.
The house wasn't so humongous that I'd have to use a ladder so he tried to climb up the roof and he was grateful no one could see his pathetic attempts to climb but fell down aggressively the first two times. Third time was luck favoring him as he finally reached Clara's window and kneeled on the shed.
He knocked on the window but she didn't even as much as stir at the voice. Great job at saving yourself from serial killers or burglars Clara. So he slid the window, which wasn't locked by the way. God what was this woman thinking? Now she's just asking to be kidnapped.
He stepped into her bedroom, and he could see an image of a person sound asleep under the warmth of the thick blankets. He went closer to the bed and shook her a couple of times but she didn't wake up, why did she feel so small?
"Clara. Hey, wake up." He whispered and that person turned to the other side and snuggled deeper into the blankets.
"Clara! wake up for god's sake" Harry tried again and the girl's figure turned to his side and drowsily opened her eyes and they both of their eyes went wide in an instant and panic rose in Harry's chest. It was Lexi.
Lexi screamed out loud and Harry barely covered her mouth in time before Mrs. Cox or the neighbors woke up and came knocking at the door.
"What are you doing?" He jumped and stumbled backwards when he heard a voice further left to the bed, and was met with a very confused face of Clara.
"I-I though it was you." He yelped stepping far away from...oh shit, it was Lexi, wasn't it. But why was she sleeping with her sister? Well, at least it wasn't her mother who he shook or else things would've gone...badly.
