Clara's pov
It has been a few days since Niall's birthday when the worst has happened. Since then, I've spent most of my time with my friends. And they have been smothering me with love and care. Even though it's too much, I love it.
I haven't seen or heard from Harry all these days, and it has been very weird because all we did was making out all day, and now we are strangers, pulled apart by nature's forces. It has been a calm and nourishing time for me, but I'm lying if I say I didn't think of him even once in all these days apart from each other. I wonder how he's doing. Hopefully, he's alright and got rid of that cunning Max forever.
Things have been a kind of awkward for me and Zayn because we haven't exactly had a talk about 'the kiss' we shared. We completely ignored that it happened, and he hasn't brought it up yet. I'm sure he's giving me some time to figure things out, but the more I think about it, the more confused I get.
Right now, me, Niall, Kelly, Isabel, Zayn, Pearl and Liam, are in Kelly's house to hang out after the school, as it was the weekend. We had our lunch at a close-by restaurant, and Niall ordered half of the menu which wasn't shocking at all. He ate like a little child, dropping the food and licking his fingers clean. Everyone laughed at him but he was adorable to watch while eating.
Kelly and Niall didn't even look at each other because they were so enraged with one another. I didn't know what the argument was about, but no one seemed to care much because we were sure it was a petty fight over who got the last bite and thought they would soon end the stupid fight and be in each other's arms.
Currently, we were all sitting in the living room near the TV, as Pearl suggested we all watch a movie together. Suddenly, the door bell rang and Isabel rushed to open the door.
"Hello sweetheart," I heard the thick British accent coming from the doorway.
"Hey, you came!" Isabel screamed, hugging him.
"Ofcourse, how could I not come when you called?" he said, hugging her back and giving a slight peck to her forehead.
No one expected Louis to come, after what happened, and we were surprised, but the minute he entered, the atmosphere became much warmer, as he greeted everyone with a smile. Louis could literally do nothing, but still everyone would melt down. He was a sweet lad.
"Hey," he greeted me.
"H-hey" I said, slightly taken aback because I thought he wouldn't even speak to me. Wasn't he mad at me for blaming Harry? Wasn't he upset? I mean he is after all Harry's best mate, but I didn't feel a hint of annoyance or arrogance from him.
"How are you love?" he asked, about to sit down across me, but I grabbed his wrist and took him to the kitchen instead of answering his question. No one noticed it because they were busy picking sides of Niall or Kelly, who were fighting on which movie to watch. God, these days, they just need a chance and they argue about anything.
"What's wrong?" he asked, confused.
"How is Harry?" I asked, as I couldn't keep it in any longer. I had to ask someone on how he's doing, and who is better to ask than Louis, who knew Harry inside and out.
A momentary awkward silence followed as it appeared that he was contemplating how to answer my question.
"He, he is fine." Louis said finally after a few moments, but avoiding my eyes.
"Louis, please, I must know how he's doing. Answer honestly" I pleaded.
"What do you think Clara? He's absolute shit right now. He drinks the whole day and brings a different girl home every night." Louis explained.
