A little ahead than the schedule to give myself some time to inhale the place and situation.

Well.. Years away from home taught me how days are perishable.. Just like..

How Beam and Pha used to bring me here to spoil on my cheat days.

"Kit.."

He finally walked in. I knew he's been in his car for more than an hour staring at me.

"Take a seat.."

Forth carefully followed not tearing his eyes away from me.

"Do you have.. anything you want to eat? I'll order it.. I'll--"

"Get me one strawberry shortcake.."

He nodded and hesitantly left the table allowing me to give him a better look..

Longer hair and stronger build. But there's something in his voice that makes me wonder how he is for the past few years.

I checked my watch.. 5:44.. We should not take too much time.

"Is there anything wrong?"

He came with my cake and a hot coffee at hand. I gestured to place my plate so he can take his chair.

But it's honestly weird how we act like long time friends.

5:57 but no one's moving our food.. I sighed giving up..

"Kassem.."

He leaned his face, but immediately held back..

"What about.. him.."

Forth whispered..

"I let him decide.. he's young but he knows the importance of truth.. as well as.. giving second chances.. for you it's more than two though.."

I'm crazy to make jokes out of it but he still gave me a little smile..

A sudden pause caught me when I noticed how his eyes suddenly reflected pain and longing.. But I know I just have to calm down..

"..You'll surely see a seven year old Forth."

I decided to respond with a smile.. Mom told me a lot about him, while he didn't get any about us.

"He must've been very handsome then.."

"He's snotty.."

We shared a humble laugh breaking the freezing tension.. Geez.. We're not that young to be stubborn. We even made a kid.
