"Kit?.. are you okay?.."

I noticed my beautiful son-in-law was breathing heavily and his pale skin was flushing red.. I got more worried as he was squirming and seemed uncomfortable in his seat.

He lowered his head..

"Y-yes madam.."

I frowned as he answered. How can I not worry if his voice was so scratchy and his slightly shivering. He's not eating and Forth even had to almost carry him downstairs..

I shook my head and leaned closer aiming to touch his forehead.

I sighed.

My stupid son didn't even notice his husband beside him was having a fever.. I hissed.. he made us restless.

Gosh.

I'm so disappointed of this moron. I scanned this darling's body and the marks were too visible.. It must be stinging..

"Kit, I'll take care of you.. Forth, carry your husband to your room.."

Kit's eyes widened and Forth looked confuse.

"Madam? There's no need.."

I held his hand..

"Kit.. you are also our son now sweetie.. you're not a slave here.. I'm afraid your fever might be because of an infection.."

He can't look into my eyes. Actually, we weren't even given some time to know him well so he might still feel shy around us. They got married with him seeing us the first time during the signing of the marriage contract.

I kissed his soft cheek..

I have no regrets though.. Intochars possesses beauty and charms. They have maintained a good-standing in the society though they have been known for sending their wonderful children to rich and branded names.

Goodness.. while our family, was known for surviving through wild instincts and competitiveness. It runs in the blood.. The moment our eyes settled on something, we will flip mountains to achieve our desires..

Unfortunately for Kit.. he was desired by our family to bear a baby with our eldest son Forth.

I patted his head trying to make him relax..

This darling was the youngest in their family, it cost us a fortune for his parents to agree with the marriage so we made sure Forth and Kit understand the agreement.

During the wedding, we honestly felt bad.. We weren't really planning to force them to do this as soon as possible but a rumor lurked in the circle that another tycoon was aiming for Kit's hands...

My husband also noticed that Kit was kinda off so he came closer and whispered..
