I can't let Mark to pick me up in Forth's house so I decided to go back to my apartment. Honestly, I tried to be as cautious as much as possible.

I hope they won't notice me here.

*Ding dong

"Kit, it's me.. Mark."

"Oh.. yeah I'm coming.."

I opened the door.. But.. what the heck?!

Forth was leaning on the wall and Mark was in front of my door with his face glowing in anticipation..

He's not thinking I intentionally planned this, right?

"So.. you two are going to a party?"

Guess, they already had chitchats earlier.

"His sister's birthday party.."

I tried to be as nonchalant as possible just like before.. if that's even possible..

"I see.. didn't know you two were close.. I mean, you even pick up Kit.."

Forth was acting weird himself. Is he drunk? He can just ignore us.

"Uhm.. not really.. but.. I'm hoping he'll give me a chance to know him more."

Is this guilt tripping?

"That's good for the two of you then.."

Forth stared at me as if he's trying to imply something but I'm out. I want to enjoy the night..

"So.. Forth.. we have to go ahead."

"Sure, bye!"

He turned and entered the room next door. It's Beam's room. Of course, we used to be bestfriends.

"Let's go?.."

"Yeah.."

I just wanted to have a good time but did not expect how pathetic Mark could get...

The party was amazing. People were all nice. Food was great, except the grilled seafood part near the pool..

Everything in the event was fun, except one thing...

"Kit.. I like you.. Please.. allow me to court you."
