Mom: Sweetheart it's time to get up and get ready for school!

y/n: Five more minutes..

Mom: Last time I let you get a little more rest you almost missed the bus

y/n: I know mom that was because I was studying all night for my algebra test..

Mom: •sighs• ..Alright Alright...you better not be still in the bed when I get done cooking breakfast.

y/n: I won't mom I promise

Mom: Mhmm •goes back to the kitchen to make breakfast•

You slowly get up from your bed and start to get washed up and dressed for school. When you're done you catch a whiff of what your mom is preparing in the kitchen.

y/n's thoughts: Omg my favorite- I better hurry before dad eats everything up

You make your way down to the kitchen to see your mom cleaning up and a plate she's already made for you

y/n: Wow- Thanks mom you didn't have to do all this

Mom: Sweetheart I do this every morning and cooking is the least I can do for my family

Dad: Morning you two •smiles•

Mom: Hi hun

y/n: Hey Dad

Dad: You're look as beautiful as ever •walks up to mom and kisses her cheek lightly•

Mom: Thank you dear •smiles•

y/n: •laughs to self slightly watching them•

Mom: what are you laughing at? You're gonna experience this when your older you know •rolls eyes•

Dad: Well it's about that time since they are in high school now •smiles•

Mom: Well I don't know about our child dating now-

Dad: Oh let the kid grow up hun- I think they're responsible enough

Mom: I said not until sophomore year and I stick by that

Dad: Sorry Kiddo I tried

Little did they know you already had a boyfriend that you've been with since the 8th grade but you try to play it off as if you didn't have one

y/n: Don't worry dad I'm not worried about dating anyone right now. The only thing I'm trying to focus on is my grades and (a sport or extra curricular activity of your choice )

Mom: That's my baby •smiles proudly•

Dad: •chuckles slightly and checks watch• Hey y/n you might wanna hurry we don't want you missing the bus now would we

y/n: Alright cya mom cya dad

Dad: Bye •smiles•
