I still want it all with you

One more night

The next morning, I woke up in her room, with her kisses on my back, while my senses recognized her body behind mine, I pressed myself against her arms, assuring myself that it wasn't another dream, it was really her, it was Alex, naked, leaving sweet kisses on my back and neck in the morning, on a MONDAY morning!

"Shit!" I said trying to get up, but Alex's arm put more pressure on me without letting me move.

"Babe, it's still early, you don't have to run" she said with her voice hoarse from sleep "Or is it...oh ..." she withdrew her arm from my waist and I frowned, I turned to her side to look at her, she was lying down face up, with the sheet covering most of her and her head turned the other way.

"Or is what?" I asked her, turning her head with my hand.

"You're going to tell me that it was a mistake" it wasn't a question; it was a statement. And she looked hurt.

"Don't be silly, I'm extremely happy about last night" I said kissing her lips, allowing myself to experience this feeling once again. "I have made many mistakes in my life, but spending one more night with you is not one of them. I just can't be late for the office though, I have a breakfast meeting, can you take me home?" She frowned for a second, but then she gave me a smile and nodded kissing me again. Half an hour later we were on our way to my house, we were talking about unimportant things until we got to my house.

"See you later?" she asked when she parked in front of my house.

"I'll work till late, Mondays are eternal" I said apologetically.

"Ok I understand. Will you text me, then? " I nodded and when she leaned in to kiss me I found her halfway. "Have a good day, Em" she said with a smile and pulled me towards her to wrap me in her arms, I melted into her, in the warmth of her arms, in the smell of her skin, in the feeling that she produced in me of wanting to stay there for the rest of my life.

"Thanks, you too. My day begun perfectly" I said, breathing in the scent of her neck a little more, before leaving a lingering kiss right there. "Now, get out of here, otherwise I'm just going to invite you in for a quick shower that won't be quick and I won't want to go work, and I really need to be a responsible adult today" I said with wink, I got out of her car, got inside and took a quick shower and fixed myself at full speed, I hadn't lied to her, Mondays were eternal and I had hardly any slept at all, but it has been so long since I felt this good, I didn't want to analyze anything or worry about my doubts, I just wanted to focus on being happy for at least a few days, a few days until I couldn't take it anymore and inevitably start questioning everything.

It happens that when you are in a good mood, the universe aligns itself and things go perfectly smooth, in the morning at the shareholders' meeting, when we presented the financial statements and projections, everyone was happy and the meeting went effortlessly. At lunchtime when I was able to check my cell phone, I had a message from Alex, I bit my lip remembering last night.

11:20 ZAlex: "You have no idea what last night meant to me, I'm so happy, I wish I could fill you with kisses every morning"

"Uuuuhh, what's with the face, Ems?" Danna asked me when she saw me probably flushed and somewhat agitated.

"Uh, nothiiing, just an email from mom," I lied, quickly putting the phone away. "And you? Don't think I forgot that you dumped me yesterday" I said crossing my arms, she frowned.

"Ana told me that you told her that Alex was going to give you a ride" I rolled my eyes, while she opened her mouth realizing Ana's game. "Ana is so sneaky, clever girl that one. I want to hear all about it soon" she said winking and raising her arms as she walked off to the kitchen.
