MORGAN.

I get inside with Tracy. I was planning on coming alone, but she shows up on my doorstep and asks me to go with her. That's because she knows me and Sammy isn't together, Sam made that clear to everyone.

Tracy introduces me to her cousins. Ashley, power, and Aneesa.

Ashely looks older, while Aneesa and power looks same age.

"So, is this your boyfriend?" Ashely asks.

Before Tracy could reply, I jump in.

"Oh no! No, we are just friends."

I shouldn't have say it that way, knowing how she feels about me.

"Oh," Ashley exclaims.

"I understand things like this. You too are afraid of confessing your love for each other right?" Power asks, smiling awkwardly with his finger swinging at the both of us.

I wide my eyes and smile, finding it funny. We all chuckles.

"So um where do you guys live?" I asks.

Aneesa takes a drink from a passing waitress, as well as power.

"Oh, DC." Power replies after a heavy gulp of his wine.

I nod.

"Yeah, and all these motherfucking white people ain't welcome in my hood, except they wanna get their toes in their throat," Aneesa says. She sounds like a fervid racist.

I just stare at her shockingly.

She sips from her wine, and catches my gaze on her.

"Oh, don't get me wrong, you cool, not like some of these bougie assholes." She glares around.

The strange thing I find about her is that she says all of these things with a sweet voice. Smooth and low.

"Be cool Aneesa," Tracy tells her, probably noticing my faint look.

"But she' right though, They make the room looks all paled," power adds with a smirk face.

Aneesa and Ashley gives an equal smirk.

I can't believe I'm standing among the people who are insulting my race.

I look down with a force smile, but as I slowly raise my head up, my eyes are buried in a blue ocean, which looks a lot more like Sam's eyes.

It's hers, I can recognise that moist eyes anywhere.

My eyes scrutinise her.

Her blue gown goes with her eyes. Her jewelries goes with her skin. Her dark eyelids goes with her hair.

She's the most beautiful girl in this room.

What guy in his right senses would let such beauty go?

Her eyes is still fix on me, with a neutral expression.

"I'll be back." I whisper to Tracy, and walk towards Sam.

"He ain't angry bout what we was saying, right?" Aneesa voice asks at my fade.

I get to them, I stand in front of Sam, but not too close.

"Xavier you are looking good," I tell Xavier.

"You ain't looking shabby. Nice improvement," he says sarcastically.

Why the sudden act?

"You guys aren't anything right? So we don't get to leave you two?" Veronica asks.
