What the hell had she gotten herself into?
She was so done. She got back to her hotel room, packed her things up, and checked if there was a flight leaving for anywhere other than funky ass St. Louis.
She was not ready to go home yet, but she was done with St. Louis.
"One flight to Los Angeles, coming up."
At least there she could not run into any long-lost family, stepbrothers that fucked her like he knew her body and a mother that chose someone else's kid over her own. She was over it.
While on the flight, she texted both M'Liyah and Melodie in a group text.
We need a PT night out ladies, I'm comin to yo city, what r we doing?
Melodie: When bitch?
Ginger: On my way now.
M'Liyah: Nice warning
Ginger: You know how I do
Melodie: Come stay with me and Damian
GINGER: Ew! Don't you have a lot of crumb snatchers?
Melodie: Two bitch, come see your niece and nephew.
Ginger: Negative
M'Liyah: You can come to stay with me. Donnie is away doing a movie, so I can use the company
Ginger: Maybe, till I decide how long I want to stay.
M'Liyah: I'll send my car to come pick you up. I can't wait!
Nothing she packed was L.A. sensible, even though it was summer in the Midwest, summer in L.A. was a whole other thing. That was just an excuse to hit Rodeo Drive and tear up some high-end stores.
A text came through and she read it.
Apryl: I saw that you checked out of the hotel. I wish you would have said goodbye. We still have so much to talk about. Are you upset with me?
She should delete and block. She did not want to talk to the woman that gave birth to her. Go live her life with her new son and her other kids she did not even get to meet. It was obvious she forgot about her and did not care. She was not going to beg to be a part of her life.
She was over it.
Soon as she touched down in L.A., the paparazzi caught her and started to hound her. She was even dressed low-key and they recognized her. That was like night and day difference from in St. Louis.
She was not answering any question, but the first and obvious question they always asked.
"Are you here to reunite with Petite Trois?"
"Are you guys working on a new album?"
"Are you going to sing back-up on M'Liyah's album?'
She wanted to grab their camera and toss it at their head, but she made her way through them and found M'Liyah's driver. He helped her get her things in the car, shooing off the paparazzi still hounding her, and then he took off.
How did M'Liyah and Melodie stand living in this city? Atlanta was bad enough with their little celebrities, LaLa Land was ten times worse. No privacy at all. The bigger star you were the more they were hounded. It was a good thing she was not on that level anymore.
It was a long drive to get to the house that M'Liyah shared with her now-husband of nearly two years. The two of them were a match made in heaven. She was super pretty and talented, he was fine as all get out and talented. Whenever they had kids they would surely beat out Blue Ivy on being the cutest and most talented celebrity kid.
