It was kind of exciting, having fun with DJ, and then pretending to just be a happy family when everyone came home. She did feel better and more relaxed now around DJ. They could goof off and make jokes at each other, and play with their brother and sister more, and no one was the wiser. She was sure some seven-year-olds would not figure anything out, but they had to be careful with her mother and his father.
The rest of the week, after DJ dropped off the twins, they'd have sex and lay in bed all day. It was Friday now, and they were in the swing of things. The house was empty, they were in bed getting it in, sweaty, stinky, and worn out.
"Let me catch my breath five more minutes and then we can go again."
She giggled at him. "Boy, stop. What are you trying to prove?"
"You thought I was a one-minute brother the other day."
"Boy! Not after that first time at the hotel. I knew you had potential." She kissed his sweaty forehead. "You stink."
"That's why you all over me?"
"Cuz maybe I like your stink."
"That's just nasty."
She snuggled up on his chest. "I wish you could stay over at night, so we could cuddle up and fall asleep together."
"Yeah, right. My mom...I mean, your mom would flip."
She had to think this through. What were they doing? Hiding out, having sex in his little room like savages, cleaning up, and pretending they had done nothing all day but watch TV. They had to know. Every day they washed the sheets and remade the bed. When her mother came home, sometimes she would be upstairs watching tv and he would be downstairs to distract them.
Every day her mother cooked for the family. She found that amazing. Since she had been there, no takeout at all.
She rubbed through his hair, which while sweaty, was extra curly.
"I love your hair. I want to play in it all day. You always wore it long?"
"All my life."
"Do you braid it sometimes?"
"My mother did. Then your mom."
She smiled at him. "Can I braid it?"
"Whatever you want to do babe."
They showered and he washed his hair, then while she sat in her robe, he wrapped a towel around his waist and she got her comb and hair products and went to town on his lush hair.
"That feels good." He leaned his head back as she parted it in sections.
"Is this how you catch girls? They want to play in your hair."
"There's not been that many girls."
"Whaaat? You're twenty-six, fine, smart, employed...can fuck! What's wrong with bitches?"
"They're not you I guess."
"Aaaw!" She leaned over to kiss him. "But seriously boy, tell me about your exes?"
"I've only had two serious relationships. One in high school, that ended when she went away to college and I stayed here to go to UMSL. Then off and on in college. We were never right for each other. We wanted different things."
"Different things. Like, you just wanted to fuck and she wanted to settle down."
He shook his head. "The other way around. She was not only seeing me, but she was also seeing other guys, even though I told her I wasn't about that. One man, one woman. Pretty simple."
