She did not get much sleep, tossing and turning thinking about DJ. She had to masturbate to release the sexual tension she was feeling. That did nothing. She was going to break, she knew it.

She took a long hot shower, masturbating again, thinking of DJ. Imagining it was his tongue down there.

"Fuck me!" she shouted out.

Oh shit, she better cool down. Adjusting the shower to a colder temp, she washed up good and got out. By the time she was dressed and made it downstairs, her mother was already gone. David was there lounging out in the living room. The twins were finishing breakfast. DJ was washing dishes.

"Hey sleepy head, left you some breakfast eggs. They might be cold."

Staring at DJ's backside, she wanted to jump on his back and hump him like a madwoman, but she looked to her sister and brother, then slowly walked over to grab the plate of food. She sat it on the table and drizzled ketchup over her eggs. She scooped them on her toast and ate it quietly, not looking DJ's way.

"What's wrong with you?" DJ elbowed her as he walked past her.

He knew what the fuck was wrong with her. Why did he kiss her? He set her whole body on fire and she couldn't cool it down.

"Let me run them to camp and I'll be back. Do you have anything you want to do today?"

Sit on yo face! Did she say that out loud? She looked all around, the twins didn't look her way, and DJ was looking at her strangely.

"Huh? Oh, no, I don't know."

He left with the twins and she finished her breakfast and then walked into the living room with David.

"You don't have work today?"

"Yeah, I'm just going in later because I'm staying late today. I work crazy hours, but I like being home when my family is home. Have dinner with them most days."

She sat on the sofa opposite him.

"My mother is lucky she found someone like you."

"I'm the lucky one."

"Was she still really messed up when you met her?"

"What? Do you mean the drugs? No, she was clean for about a year. She came in to buy a car actually, that's how I met her. Didn't know anything, and said she never owned a car. I wasn't going to let anybody take advantage of her." He grinned proudly thinking of it. "She was beautiful, so fragile looking. I'm a little older than her, so I was intimidated to ask her out. I gave her my card, and asked her to call me if she wanted to have dinner, you know put the ball in her court."

"And she called?"

"Your mom is not a shy woman. She said she found me attractive as well and was nervous I would never be interested in someone like her. We both were wrong."

"What about...you know, your wife...I mean, DJ's mother. She died, but did you still have feelings for her?"

"I will always love Nicole, but our time was cut short. She gave me the best son in the world, and I treasure her for that. I was widowed a few years before I met your mother. I hadn't really dated. But I met Apryl and I knew."

It was mystifying that everyone always said they met the one and just knew. How? Was something supposed to happen when you just knew? She thought she met her one with Tempo. First meeting him, she liked everything about him, but she was so wrapped up in Spitfire and Craig. Then when she thought they would finally have their time, that he was the one, turns out she did not know what the hell she was talking about.
