Jenny's POV

I slowly took off my mask. Everything turned blurry and warped. I peered for a bit. The visor enhanced my vision so I could see no matter what, in some way. But right now, all I could see is was his figure. His outline, really. He reached out and touched the side of my missing eye. Pain spread across my face. "Does it hurt?" He asked. I held his hand against it and nodded. He tugged his hand back and I gripped it harder. "I don't want to hurt you." He stared at me.

"I like pain." I said flatly. "Why.." He swallowed slightly. "Because pain is the only thing I can feel anymore.." I explained. He walked up to me and took my hand. "I can make you feel much more." He leaned his forehead against mine.

Hazel's POV

I sat in the corner of the building and stared into oblivion. I've been alone for too long. My shoulders rose and fell slightly as I breathed. It's been four months since I've been with my group. Four months by myself. I coughed violently and heard fidgeting in the other room. I froze and backed into the corner, farther. A head peeked around the corner.

"You're not so good at stealth, are you?" The man said. I flinched and stared at the barrel of his gun peek out. "Get away from me." I pushed out. "I'm unarmed." I scowled. He shot in front of my feet. I squealed and jumped almost a foot in the air. "Hey!" I yelled. He pulled back as I heard footsteps. Rapid ones. Lots of them.. A figure shot up the stairs and slammed into me, pinning me to the ground. The figure had a mask. The figure gasped and pulled it off. My vision adjusted and I looked up. It was Zak. He stood up and held out his hand. "I thought you died.."

I pulled myself up. "Nice greeting." I rolled my eyes. "Hello." I said. "I heard a gun sh-" He was cut off my a little girl biting his shoulder. "G-ghh.." He clenched his teeth, swatting at her. She yelled, "Water!" He threw a bottle of water at her over his shoulder. "There's this guy in the other room-" There was another shot. I covered my ears as debris whipped across my face. All I could see was dust.

Then I saw it. The struggle between Zak and the other man. It was insane. The litter girl stayed behind with me as the debris cleared up. There was another girl, slowly coming up the stairs. She was oddly familiar.. I've definitely met her before.. "Hazel!" She yelled and ran, hugging me. "K-Kat?" My brow creased as her name rolled off my tongue. I hugged her back and glanced at the fight. Zak threw the guy out of the window, grunting. The debris cleared up by now.

Blake's POV

I kicked my legs over the edge and stared down. "Hey you." I called down, throwing a rock at Axe. He paused from sharpening his blade and glanced at me. "What.." He grumbled. "Can I call you Mr. Grump?" "No." I pouted as he went back to sharpening his blade. His chest tightened. "You're kind of like a person I used to know." He murmured.

"Oh really?" I piped up. He nodded and couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Who was he?" I said, throwing another rock at him. He blocked it with his hand and shifted his weight. "She was named Hazel." I nodded. "Pretty." I hesitated. "Was she your girlfriend?" He stiffened and smoothed out his hair. "No." He said casually. "I was basically her bodyguard." I grinned and coughed, "Night in shining armour." He stared at me and scrunched up his nose. "Was not." He spat back. "Was too." I prodded, laughing.

He turned again and continued to sharpen his sword. "Are you just going to avoid the facts by sharpening the sword you'll never use?" I purred. "I'll use it on you if you don't shut up." He grit his teeth. I giggled a bit and pretended to zip my mouth shut, saying, "You're secret is safe with me." I smirked, flicking the imaginary zipper stub away. He rolled his eyes and sharpened the last side, tossing the rock over his shoulder.

"I'm bored." I whined. "Can we go to the Pub to get more bottles?"

"Haven't you had enough..." He sighed. "NO!" I yelled. "No no no!" I kicked my legs. "Never enough!" I whined like a toddler. He scowled. "Keep your trap shut! You'll attract walkers!" He grabbed my arm and pulled me off my perch. I sqealed. "Are we going to the Pub??" I beamed widely. He rolled his eyes. "Yeah whatever." I pumped my fist, releasing from his grip and running ahead. "Blake-" I screamed as I ran up the hill, rolling down the other side. I scrambled to my feet and ran into the city, slamming into a dark figure. I stumbled back as the figure pulled a fire axe and slashed at me.

"Woo!" I laughed. "Close one!" I vaulted over them and ran into the Pub, grabbing a few. I turned around and there was a whole group at the door. "Hi." I said. There was four of them. One guy. Three girls. I could easily take them out, but right now, I'm too lazy.

"Put the bottles down.." One of the girls said calmy. "Aww.." I whined. "I was looking for some fun." I said, drop-kicking one, making glass shards go everywhere. That ends their path to me. I bolted for the exit and morphed into the nearest tree, holding my breath.

Then the yelling started.

I guess Axe just met them.
