Hazel's POV
Terminus was fine. Sometimes it was brutal and people took over. Big Spot shouldn't be a permanent placement, but it was OKAY for looting and getting supplies. Sometimes it was hard to get at the prison because people would have already taken it and overruled it. As you can see, it is extremely difficult to find a safe place to sleep and not get your brains blasted out.
Why would your brains get blasted out you ask? The zombies or walkers as we call them. The only solution to surviving against them is killing them which is hard if you can't stand holding a gun.
Unfortunately, this is my condition. I'm not really the type of person that would be hunting for these things. They can potentially kill me. The safest placement from walkers is the prison, which is where a lot of groups go.
So it's not my best bet to go there.
You see, I am a loner after my last partner and I were separated. He was stronger than me and took mercy upon me. We became good friends and partnered. In our plan of survival, we split to get double looting. I never found him afterward.
Alongside walkers there were bandits who would rob you in two seconds. Unfortunately, he was a bandit. The first time I met him his face was covered. After a while, he softened and took it off. That's when I lost him.
Since all the other options are risky, I stash myself in a little barn on a farm. It's usually remotely quiet and abandoned there. However, it's pretty close to the prison. Well, sort of. The prison is just over a hill hidden within the trees. I have it pretty good.
I have a bed of hay and my backpack is full of supplies. Whenever I run out, I take the chance of running to Big Spot which is pretty close by. It's always stocked because the storage people haven't canceled off the monthly subscriptions on the store. And the walkers usually leave the truck alone so they can feed on us when we arrive there, hungry. Well, they're hungry too. For our flesh.

I dropped my sack, panting from a long run. I collapsed on the bails of hay in front of me. I caught my breath before standing up and brushing off my clothes. I looked outside and saw walkers emerge from the forest. I whispered a curse and grabbed my pack, jumping out the top window, making a dash for Terminus. I growled at myself for not shooting them, but that was against my will.
A flash of memories crossed my mind when I threw my only pistol on the ground and slammed my heel into it, breaking it in two.
I kept running, dismissing the thought and ran inside, barricading the entrance, just as the damn thing caught up. It slammed its clumsy fists against it. I turned and ran around the corner, slamming into a young man that looked as if he was in his 30's. We both gasp and he smiles.
"Welcome to Terminus!" He beams. "Are you hungry?" My stomach growled and in response, and he gave me a plate of food.
"Gah, wha?" I was baffled. He was so nice and didn't even know me. "Thank you. A lot." I haven't eaten in a week. I hadn't eaten much of it.
"Answer honestly, how is it?" He asks me.
"It's actually pretty good.." I got a sick feeling in my stomach. Was it walker flesh?? Or did he just feed me a human?!
"Do you mind if I ask you some questions.." He'd ask slowly. I shrug and chew slower, eyeing the man. "Would you go cannibal if you had to?" I almost choked on my food.
"No... I'm vegetarian...." I answered. "Did you just feed me-" A fist knocked against the nape of my neck and I blacked out.
