anyways, I was going through the archives and found all the old cover designs I made for this story when I first started it back in 2016 at age 14.
As some of you may know, I'm currently a second-year design student and I hope to create novel covers and movie posters one day! So looking at these abominations I made five years ago makes me cringe but...it's also kinda super cool. They were the first book covers I ever made and what got me into design in the first place.
This stupid, garbage tmnt fanfiction might have been the start of my design career.
Never would have guessed.
Anyways! I thought it'd be cool to give you guys the evolution of this story and its covers, as well as my (admittedly very slow) progress as a designer.
and I'm curious to see how many of these covers you guys recognize; if y'all have been here from the start or just joined the gang recently. Let me know which cover was being used when you first read TSS!
also, the chapter count for this story has been sitting at 66 for way too long now 💀 it had to be fixed

Talk about a glow up, amiright? lmfaooo major shade on my younger self because WTAF is V1–4 💀💀 if my design profs saw those I'd run away to uzbekistan and adopt a new identity
I'm definitely missing a few versions which really sucks, and although I didn't make V7 I used that cover for a while around the time TSS started to pick up steam, so I made sure to include it here!

Well, I actually have a bunch of ideation and sketches for an album cover design due tomorrow! (which I'm currently procrastinating finishing) lol but i hope you guys found this evolution kinda cool and feel inspired to keep doing what you love, even when you think it isn't any good or you feel like you'll never be good enough. Everyone starts off as a beginner and if you keep working hard, one day you'll get where you want to be at.
