The Avengers, the name fit the group even more now. Their mission now to avenge their fallen friends and in Steve's case his fallen lover too. The lose of Natasha hit the group hard. Clint having it the worst. Natasha was like his sister no scratch that she was his sister. Blood doesn't make a family. Now stands a family, a family who's incomplete with important pieces missing.
"We have the stones we can get her back" Thor said.
Clint let out a sigh and shook his head, tears rolled down his cheeks.
"We can't bring her bang" Clint said sadly.
"We're ur space here, we don't know we might be able to" Tony said trying stay optimistic.
"No'!" Clint shouted out.
The men flinched at his raise in tone.
"She's dead" Clint said.
They all fell silent as they sat on the dock of Tony's cabin. The water lapping up against the bank.
"Who's going to be snapping there fingers?" Steve asked.
Clint scoffed at the Soldier.
"That's what your thinking about right now Cap? Nat just died" Clint shouted.
Steve brought his hand up pinching the bridge of his nose, his eyes squeezed shut.
"So is half the universe Clint, and we have everything we need to bring them back. So what are we waiting for" Steve shouted throwing his hands in the air.
Steve was mourning Natasha's death but he had the choice to bring Y/n back. She's been missing from his life for five years, five years of lonelinessa and depression for Steve.
"Do you just not care that Natasha's dead" Clint said through gritted teeth.
"Of course I fucking am" Steve shouted.
The whole team suprised of Steve's foul language. Tony bit his lip back from commenting 'language'. Knowing it wasn't the right moment.
"I am heartbroken that Nat's gone, she was the only person there for me for the past 5 years Clint. Of course I'm upset" Steve shouted tears rolling down his face.
Clint swallowed the lump building in his throat as he looked at Steve.
"We all need to stop fighting, this isn't helping anyone" Tony chimed in trying to defuse the situation.
Steve wiped the tears off of his face and nodded his head, sitting back down on the bench, looking out to the lake.
The sun had started to set below the horizon the water reflecting the pink and orange sky.
The team slowly headed inside, crashing in the cabin before heading back to the compound tomorrow.
They were going to bring everyone back.
Sam, Bucky, Groot, Clint's family, T'challa, Okoye and Y/n. Most importantly to Steve she would be back.
Steve lay on the couch downstairs, his head resting on his arms which were tucked besides his head. He couldn't sleep his mind was racing.
He let out a sigh and reached into his pocket, pulling out the compass and setting it on the coffee table turning over to lay on his side staring at the photograph.
The photo had started to fade, the now bright colors faded with time. Unlike Steve's love for Y/n which never faltered. Infact it was the opposite, Steve loved her more.
He realized how much he needed her.
His lips turned upwards into a small smile as he looked at the photo.
"I'll see you soon my love" He whispered before closing the compass tucking it back into his pocket and closing his eyes slowly drifting off to sleep.
.
Finally the moment had come, the team stood around the finished gauntlet, the infinity stones causing it to glow.
"Who's going to put it on?" Tony asked as the billionaire anxiously bit his nail.
"I will" Thor burped.
"Ummm Thor are you sure?" Tony asked glancing around the room.
"Do you know what's running through my veins right now?" Thor shouted.
"Cheese wizz?" Rhodey teased.
The team bit back a laugh, except for Rocket who tilted his head back letting out a full on cackle. Thor narrowed his eyes at the racoon and shook his head at the team.
"Lightning" Thor said triumphantly.
He lifted up his hands causing sparkles of lightning to come out off his fingers, well sparkles.
"Don't think that'll help you pal" Tony said patting the god on the shoulder.
"I'll do it" Bruce said, breaking his silence.
The scientist taking a step forward from the back of the lab slowly walking towards the gauntlet.
"The radiation is most likely gamma, and well" Bruce gestured to his hulk body.
Tony nodded in agreement.
"It's like I was made for this" Bruce said looking down at his large green hands.
"Then it's sorted, Bruce will bring everyone back" Tony said.
Everyone nodded in agreement but Thor scoffed slightly pissed it wasn't him. But you can't blame the god for wanting to be the one to bring everyone back. He thinks it's his fault. Thor thinks the half the universe bei g blipped is his fault.
The team headed outside the lab closing the glass door as they watched Bruce pick up the gauntlet.
The man slowly slid the gauntlet onto his head. Bruce let out a shout, crying out in pain as the energy ran through his body. His veins lighting up in different colors, glowing.
"Bruce are you ok?" Tony shouted out in worry.
Bruce gritted his teeth together and gave Tony a nod. He picked his arm holding the gauntlet with his arm practically holding it up. Bruce let out a cry as he snapped his fingers.
