CHAPTER 24

* Maggie's pov *

I woke up in a room which didn't belong to me. It was very bright and strange. When I moved and tried to sit I heard Abel's voice:

"Maggie! You finally opened your eyes! I was so worried, please don’t scare me like this anymore" He hugged me crying and I realised I was in hospital.

"Please, Abe, don’t cry. What happened and why I'm here? All I remember is my concert and then there's just a blank space." I asked confused

"Honey, when we walked into your room on backstage, you immediately fainted. Thanks God I was here with you so I caught you quickly. I tried to wake you up, nothing helped so I drove you here asap"

When we were talking, someone interrupted us.

"Ms. Maggie?" I realised it was a doctor

"Yes" I replied

"I have your medical tests results and I'm sorry, but it's not so good. You are at risk of anemia." Doctor announced.

"Oh my God" I heard Abel gasped

"Ms. Maggie, you have to eat properly and regularly. I'll also prescribe you some medicine and please, take it twice a day and what is the most important: don’t skip meals or taking medicine! I hope your husband will keep his eye on you." He said looking at me, then at Abel.

"Of course, I will take care of my wife" Abel said smiling and I blushed. A LOT. I could feel my whole face turning red.
"She's my everything so I can't lose her. Her health is the most important for me. Even more than mine" he added and stared deep in my eyes. I blushed even more ( I had no idea it was possible lol)

" So I see I don’t have to worry and I can go to another patient. Ms. Maggie, you can go home and you are lucky to have such a good husband. You're a very good marriage. Take care of yourselves, goodbye" doctor said and walked out of the room

"Abel, really? HUSBAND?! " I started " We aren't even a couple!"

"One day we will. He thought we are married and I like it so I didn't want to prove him wrong. And btw, I could marry you just right now. It’s not a problem for me" Abel said with a very big smile on his face

"Oh my God, Abel, STOP! " I rolled my eyes

"Oh, you are blushing? So you have to like that idea?" He tried to tease me

"I can't stand yourself right now " I chuckled

"Sorry, but you will have to get used to it cause you'll stay at my place until you get better" he said

"You are kidding right now. I'll be ok, I can make it on my own." I didn't want to bother him but he insisted:

"No, Meg. I have to take care of you. If I didn't do it, I would sleep at night and be calm. Plus I promised that I'll care about my wife. So you have no choice, honey".

" Ughh alright. But don’t call me wife" I answered

"I'll try to. But it sounds so good, doesn’t it?"  He smiled again

I didn't say anything. We decided to come to my house for my things and then we drove to Abel's place.

"Are you sure I won't be disturbing you?" I asked him while we were driving to his house.

"Disturbing?? Maggie, it'll be the best time in my life!" He answered indignant

"Okay, okay, I just had to make sure" I started to explain myself

"You didn’t have to. It should be obvious for you" he said with a smile (omg, he'd better stop smiling, it melts my heart lol)

"You know, you have your own life an-" I didn't finish, because Abel interrupted me:

"YOU are my life, Maggie. Nothing is more important than you" When I heard those words, my heart melted even more...

"Listen, I want to help you. I can't leave you alone with that, 'cause I know you won't take care of yourself. There will always be sth more important for you than your health. I can't lose you so I have to look after you." He went so emotional during his speech
"You are moving in and there's no way back" he added and we laughed

"Yeah and there will be more rumours than already are... " I said scrolling down websites on my phone

"I don't care and neither should you." Abel said calmly

"OMG GUESS WHAT. They think I'm pregnant, because I fainted and we went to the hospital. The funny thing is they think you'll be a father of the child" I said shocked and pissed-off at the same time

"I wish" Abel whispered to himself, but I heard it so I asked even more shocked:

"EXCUSE ME??"

"Oh, nothing, nothing" Abel said a bit scared

"That’s what I thought " I answered and decided to sleep a little. I felt pretty tired

               * 10 minutes later *

"Maggie, wake up, my love. We're already here" Abel whispered gently

"Hmm? Five more minutes" I said with a sleepy voice
Then I felt Abel grabbing me and carrying me. I wanted to object but I was too tired for that.
He carried me to his bedroom and laid me on his bed.

"I will go to make you sth to eat, I'll be right back, don’t go anywhere, you have to rest " he said carefully

"You don't have to..." I whispered

"I do" he said "I'll help you win with your fears, we'll be strong together" he kissed my cheek and walked out of the room.

I think it's my longest chapter. I feel proud lol.
