Narrator: InuYasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kilala stared heading towards a small town, but encounter a forest in their path. A town is not too far from the forest.

"Isn't there a forest that has all these spirits wandering around?" InuYasha asked.
"According to legend, a demon watches over the forest to protect the souls. It said that when the spirits are lost, they come to the forest called the 'Forest Of Souls'." Kagome explained.
"Precisely," Miroku added. "If I'm not mistaken, the demon's name is Kikari."
"Hey guys, let's just ask those people over there if they know anything about the forest." InuYasha pointed to a small town with people busily working.
"Great idea InuYasha!" his friends chimed.
"You're actually being smart for once." Shippo pointed out.
"Wha'd you say you little pipsqueak?" InuYasha threatened.
"N-nothing. I said that you're a smart guy." Shippo stammered.
"Hmmp, as if you would say that."
"I did too!" Shippo lied.
"Shippo, don't let InuYahsa get too upset. He's been in a very good mood lately." Kagome warned.
Probably because you kissed him last night, Shippo thought.

When they got to the village, Kagome approached an old woman.
" Do you know anything about the Forest of Souls by any chance?" She asked, curious.
The old woman replied with sadness as she spoke.
"A demon spirit watches over this forest for eternity, no matter how hard you try to destroy it."
"What do you think, InuYasha? Should we head over to the forest to see what's going on?" Kagome asked.
"Not right now," InuYasha warned. "Wait until we get more information about the forest, then we'll go in."
"Okay," Kagome agreed. The group settled down in a nearby town to rest...
