Kagome's POV:
Oh InuYasha, where could you be? I thought.
I searched the entire border of the forest, but no luck. I sighed. I didn't want to go in the forest because who knows what's lurking in there! So I summoned the courage to enter the forest, and I must say, it wasn't all that creepy from the inside. I saw a small shack to the left of me, and a lake in front of me. I went inside the shack to see if InuYasha was there, but no luck.
"InuYasha," I called. "InuYasha! Are you here?" No answer.
I decided to check the lake. No luck there either. In the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of a cream colored object with black stripes.
"Kilala!" The object turned around. It was Kilala!
"Kilala, where's InuYasha?" I asked. She looked badly hurt. There was a flesh wound near her leg and eye.
"Mew..." she nodded weakly toward the lake.
"He went past the lake?"
She nodded.
"Oh no...come on Kilala. I'll put you in my bag, then we'll treat your wounds later."
I carefully put Kilala in my yellow bag, and set off. Luckily, there was a bridge on the left side of the lake to cross.

By the time I crossed the bridge, I was calling InuYasha's name, hoping for him to appear.
"InuYasha?"
"InuYasha??"
"Sit boy!" I commanded. I didn't hear an "aaaugh" or a "thump". I did hear a tree falling, and bolted in the direction it came from.
"InuYaha??"
"INUYAHSA!?"
I stopped. The tree had fallen, but no InuYasha. "INUYASHAAAA!!!" I screamed. "WHERE ARE YOU INUYASHA? YOU SAID YOU'D PROTECT ME, AND I WOULD PROTECT YOU!"
I sobbed for what seemed like forever. Kilala has come out of my bag and sat beside me. This can't be happening, I thought. Doesn't he love me anymore?
Just then, something swept Kilala and I up off the ground and into the air!
"Shhhhh. Have some of this." It crowed.
Suddenly, Kilala and I were blasted in the face with some kind of powder. Then everything went black.

InuYasha's POV:
When I got to this forest, I had no idea it would be such a maze. I kept walking on and on, thinking about Kagome. She probably set off to find me or somethin', I thought. The next thing I knew, something-no, someone-caught me off guard with a sword being thrown at me.
"What the hell was that? Show yourself!" I yelled.
Standing in front of me was a wolf looking demon, who smelled of death and graveyard soil. Erusuae must have been envolved, I thought.
"Are you InuYasha?" it asked.
"Yea! Waddya want from me?"
It laughed. "I have a little present for you." It revealed behind it was Kagome and Kilala! They were tied up to a tree, with some sort of white flame dancing around them.
"What have you done to my friends?" I asked it angrily.
It laughed again, only this time it smirked. "They are my next meal, and there's nothing you can do to stop me."
"Damn it all," I said. "If it's a battle you want, then I accept!"
