As Natsu woke up, Igneel was on his feet, explaining the plan to InuYasha, Kagome, and Lucy. Natsu, as groggy as he was, stumbled toward Igneel and friends.
"So what's the plan?" Natsu mumbled.
"Good morning too, Natsu," Igneel joked. "The plan is that we want to ambush him with a surprise attack."
"Sounds good to me," Natsu replied.
Suddenly, a very extreme screech filled their ears.
"It's Acnologia!" Igneel warned. "Natsu and friends, prepare for the battle of your lives!"
Acnologia flew down to where Igneel was.
Acnologia screeched.
"You want to challenge me and my son only?!" Igneel exclaimed.
Acnologia screeched in response.
"Natsu, please stay by my side," informed Igneel. "I don't want to loose you again."
"I won't die you old geezer! I'll vanquish him this time because I'm not injured." Natsu explained.
Acnologia was waiting for them by the barren plains where InuYasha and friends were camping.
"Come at me," Natsu challenged.
Acnologia dived at Natsu with a Black Dragon Roar. Natsu dodged the attack.
"You gotta try harder than that!" Natsu challenged.
The Black Dragon tried a wing attack.
"FIRE DRAGON BRILLIANT FLAME!" Natsu threw a blazing aura at Acnologia. He took some damage from it, and screeched in response.
"Well done Natsu. Now I'll have a go," Igneel said proudly.
Here was a bright firey aura coming from Igneel's mouth. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Burning of a Thousand Stars!"
Igneel tossed the burning light at Acnologia, only to see that it hit the mountain instead. The mountain burst into flames and crumbled.
Acnologia then decided to speak, " You are my enemy, Igneel, and I shall defeat you. If you defeat me, Zeref will tend to your pathetic son,"
"WHO YOU CALLING PATHETIC YOU PIECE OF DRAGON CRAP?!" Natsu yelled.
Acnologia turned around. Then, he roughly said," Black Dragon Wing Attack..."
Natsu was hit by he attack. He flew backwards and landed flat on his face.
"Natsu!" Lucy and Igneel exclaimed.
Igneel screeched with rage. "Don't you ever lay a damn hand on my son, you hear me? Get through me first before you touch him again."
"Well well, Mr. 'I'm so Protective of My Son' has shown himself. Let's have a wager. If I win, I take your son. If you win, I myself will kill Zeref." Acnologia deeply spoke.
"I accept no wager where my son is involved. I reject the offer," Igneel shouted.
"Black Dragon Roar."
"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" Natsu shouted.
Acnologia cursed. "Blast. And I thought you were dead."
"I will never die knowing that my friends have hope that I'll succeed."
Acnologia was shocked. "Your friends mean something to you? Don't make me laugh,"
"WANNA BET?! FIRE-LIGHTNING DRAGON...ROAAAAAR!"
Natsu summoned his inner strength along with the lighting of Laxus and transformed it into the beam of fire and electricity.
Acnologia screeched, then fell to the ground.
"Hahahahaha! Bitch please, I bet Igneel and I can take you down any day! Right old geezer?" Natsu rebelled.
Acnologia stood up slowly.
"Huh, begging for more, eh?" Natsu taunted.
"Black Dragon Secret Art: Infinite Darkness."
Then, Natsu was surrounded in a round sphere of pure darkness.
"NO, NATSU!" Lucy shouted.

Inside the spell:
"Hey, I can't see anything! Ow, shit!" Natsu stepped on a screw.
"I think he surrounded me with a spell. Let's try this! FIRE-LIGHTING DRAGON ROAR!"
Suddenly, Natsu's magic vanished.
"How?" Then, he screeched.
"Damn this hurts!" What he didn't know was that his power was being absorbed by the darkness.
Natsu! He heard Igneel's voice! I want you to eat my flames and try to explode the bubble of darkness! Igneel said in Natsu's head.
"Let's give it a try!" Natsu tried to find his flames, but only a small amount entered his body.
"The barrier must be too strong. Well, at least these flames are better than nothing." Natsu shrugged.
"Fire Dragon Secret Art: Flames of Hell!"
Natsu's body became surrounded in flames. Then, he summoned all his power and roared.

Meanwhile outside the spell:

Igneel and Acnologia were both exhausted. Igneel has just surrounded the dark bubble with flames in hopes of Natsu eating them.
"Try all you will, but you'll never beat me," Igneel challenged. "InuYasha, please help Natsu get out. I'm counting on you."
InuYasha nodded, then ran over to the dark bubble.
"Not so fast!" Acnologia roared. "Black Dragon Wing Attack."
InuYasha dodged, and Acnologia's attack hit his own spell.
Acnologia screeched. Every time an attack was set on the outside of the bubble, it hurt Acnologia.
"Hmm. This gives me an idea." InuYasha drew his sword. "With all the power I posses, may this blade be bathed with red,"
InuYasha's sword became pink, and then red.
"STOP!" Acnologia roared an attack at InuYasha. Again, it hit the dark spell.
"Quick InuYasha!" Igneel roared.
Before InuYasha could react to swipe his sword over the barrier, it exploded from the inside!
"NATSU!" Lucy cried.
Natsu stepped in front of Igneel.
"Let me handle this Igneel. He has a lot to be sorry for," Natsu was bathed in flames.
"Thank you, Natsu." Igneel sighed with relief.
"Let's dance," Natsu challenged.
