Third Person POV - at the Hospital - October 23rd

Liam entered the hospital room, and he softly smiled at the sight of his sleeping wife.

Ever since yesterday's scare, Fallon has been knocked out like a light. The doctor said it was a panic attack rooted from PTSD, and her excessive sleeping came from physical and mental exhaustion. This news worried Liam, but he was reassured that these types of things were normal reactions for people in situations similar to her's.

Placing his bag down on the mini table, Liam didn't notice when the doctor came in. He jumped when the man spoke.

"Still not awake, huh?"

He nodded as Mr. Doc pulled out his clipboard.

"I'm just here to do the usual routine, don't mind me."

As normal, he went through his checklist and made sure that Fallon was okay. After checking up on everything, he told Liam that everything looked good, and then left.

Sitting down in his usual spot, Liam pulled out his phone that had been blown up by calls and messages. They were all from Fallon's family, and they all were asking if she was okay and how things were. He texted them all back saying that things were as good as they could be, and then he set his phone aside.

He looked over to his peacefully sleeping wife, and he smiled. He held the smile for a few seconds, but it shifted into a frown.

He knew that they had to start working through their relationship soon, and that made him nervous. He wanted to wait until Fallon was out of the hospital, but with the awkward tension in the air, he knew that it was an unavoidable conversation that was bound to come up within the next few days.

Lost in thought, he jumped slightly when Fallon mumbled something inaudible. He looked up from wherever he was looking and turned to Fallon, who still had her eyes closed. She shifted her head a little and moved her arm to be rested on her stomach.

Liam got up and stood next to the bed. He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear as she opened her eyes.

"Hey," he said, softly.

She mumbled something in response.

"Are you okay? You've been asleep for nearly twenty hours."

Still looking sleepy, she grabbed onto Liam's hand and held it close to the bed frame.

"Yeah, I'm okay."

He smiled and kissed her forehead.

Neither of them spoke, and for a few minutes, they sat in a comfortable silence. They didn't know why this silence was comfortable when the others had been awkward, but they didn't question it for long; it felt nice.

Fallon stayed laid on her back, occasionally letting her eyes close for a few moments at a time. The quiet in the room was peaceful, but a familiar feeling started to gnaw at the back of her mind. Like before, guilt pushed it's way into her brain.

She knew that this whole thing was all her fault, despite Liam saying it wasn't, and her guilt from past mistakes had stopped her from being able to think about anything else.

If she had just payed attention to Liam when he wanted her too, he wouldn't have left. And if he hadn't of left, then she wouldn't have cheated. And if she hadn't of cheated, then Liam wouldn't have gotten a divorce lawyer. And if Liam hadn't of gotten a divorce lawyer, then she wouldn't have gotten in Eva's business. And if she hadn't of gotten into Eva's business, she wouldn't have been shot. And-
