KISSES

A trail of soft kisses peppered down the length of his neck. Eyes still closed from the awoken slumber, he tilted his chin up and over to the side, allowing more access to his skin.

"Mmh," she hummed, pausing her tender lips at the base of his collarbone.

"Don't stop baby."

Her kisses started again, and he fought the grumbles that rose in his throat.

"I love you," she breathed, her hot breath fanning over the cool surface of his skin.

"I love you, too. So much."

He lifted his head and looked over his shoulder, his eyes grazing over the bed to look at his lover.

No one was there.

Third Person POV - Carrington Manor - January 13th

Another month passed.

Another month passed, and there was no sign of Fallon.

Technically, there was no sign of Liam, either. He had spent the majority of his time lying in bed, occasionally getting up to go to the bathroom. He did very little besides checking his phone for any updates on the search, and the only thing he could think about was the fact that he hasn't seen his wife in eight long, agonizing weeks.

None of the Carringtons had seen Liam outside of his and Fallon's room, and frankly, they were all quite worried. Despite their worries, they left him alone, knowing that he was grieving over the fact that his wife might never be found.

Liam sighed as he tossed his phone to the side. The police thought they had caught a lead, but it turned out to be nothing after all. He didn't want to admit it, but things weren't looking good.

If his family, plus the police, fire department, and strangers who were willing to keep an eye out, couldn't find anything that led them to Fallon, there was a very small chance that she was still in Georgia - or alive.

This was a hard thing for Liam to admit, so he tried his best not to think too much about it. Much to his displeasure, it wasn't something that he could just not think about.

He lifted his head back off of Fallon's pillow - he was on her side of the bed; it was the closest thing to being with her besides actually being with her - and sighed. He looked down to where his head just was and sighed again, noticing, not for the first time, the indent that had been created. There was very little time where he wasn't just laying there. He couldn't remember the last time he voluntarily left the bed, or the last time he had left the room at all.

According to the online updates, there had been searches in nearly every city in Georgia, and a few small towns just outside of the border. Fliers for the missing business woman had been set up everywhere, and from what Liam could tell, many people were happy to help look. Word had been spread all over the internet, but that had been expected, since the Carringtons were famous billionaires, and whatever happened with them never went unnoticed. In a way, Liam was glad that millions of people knew of Fallon's absence. That meant there was a better chance at finding her. In another way, he didn't like the idea very much. He wasn't sure how he felt about the entire country knowing that his wife was missing. It was personal business.

Liam picked up his phone again when he felt it vibrate in the sheets, ignoring the rumbling in his stomach.

He hadn't eaten much since Fallon had went missing. He didn't mind, though. How could he? How could he eat when his wife might not be able to? He couldn't take an advantage like that. He wouldn't eat until he knew Fallon had eaten, too.

Liam opened his messages and found a text from Kirby.

He slightly smiled at her name. She was one of the only ones that had persistently knocked on the door and offered her help. He was grateful for that.

The message read:

Still nothing in particular. Although, the police think they might have found something new. Don't give up hope, yet.

He simply replied with an "okay" and went back to lying in the Liam's head shaped indent. If he were being honest, it was quite comfortable.

He closed his eyes and imagined.

He imagined that Fallon was there next to him, hugging him from the side, leaving soft kisses on his cheek.

He imagined that he were there next to her, hugging her from the side, telling her how much he loved her.
