Third Person POV - at the Hospital - October 27th

"Are you ready to go?"

"I think so."

Liam helped Fallon get out of the hospital bed, and together, they packed away their things and prepared to leave.

"Just remember, Fallon. Be careful," the doctor emphasized. "If anything goes wrong, or if you feel like something is off, don't hesitate to come and get checked out."

Fallon smiled, grateful.

"Thank you. And I will."

She turned to Liam who was holding two bags. One had his and Fallon's stuff that he had brought from home, and the other had medication and cleaning supplies for Fallon's soon to be healed wound.

Liam smiled back at her.

"Alright, let's go."

They exited the room and made their way to the front desk. Signing out and finally being discharged, they pushed through the doors to the outside.

A cool breeze blew past the couple, and the fresh air felt nice after being in bed for the past week.

Despite this new sense of freedom, there was slight nervousness hidden behind Fallon's smile. She subtly gazed around the parking lot, making note of all the people that lingered around. She continued to walk next to Liam as they approached the car.

"Do you want to sit in the back so you can lay down?" Liam asked, trying to be helpful.

Fallon snapped her attention to her husband with a confused expression.

"Why would I want to lay down? I've done nothing but lay down for days," she responded.

He chuckled.

"Okay, I was just trying to make sure that you're comfortable."

He then opened the back door to his car and placed the bags inside, and then opened the passenger's door to let Fallon in. The doctor had said that Fallon should take it easy, and even though Liam knew she was fully capable of opening a car door, he didn't want to take any chances.

She climbed in, and Liam closed the door before going to the driver's side to get in as well.

He turned on the engine, and giving one last smile to his wife, he pulled out of the parking spot and sped down the road.

Fallon kept staring out of the door's window, submerged in her own thoughts. She wasn't paying attention to anything, resulting in her to slightly jump when Liam grabbed her hand and kept it resting on her lap.

About halfway back to the manor, Liam spoke up.

"You doing okay?"

Fallon turned her head away from the window and looked at him, softly smiling.

"Yeah, I'm good."

The second he looked away, the smile fell from her face and she gazed back out the window.

Ten minutes later, they pulled up into the manor's long driveway. Upon approaching the front doors, the two climbed out of the car and walked hand in hand. Liam was honestly surprised that Fallon was able to walk so well after not being on her feet for a week.

They were about to reach for the door handles, but before they could, the help opened them from the inside. Fallon's breath hitched as they swung open, and her breath picked up a little at the sight of her family standing in the foyer. Her nerves were subtle, however, and they were left unnoticed.
