Third Person POV - Carrington Manor - February 15th

"Oh my god, you asshole!"

"Serves you right!"

"Oh, how dare you!?" Fallon shouted harshly.

"How dare me!? How dare you!" Liam yelled back.

"What kind of move was that?" Fallon spat, her finger furiously smashing the attack button on her controller.

"It was just a right-hook! It's not that hard to understand!"

"Defeat!"

Fallon groaned and threw her controller to the side.

"It's not fair, you always win!"

"Just admit that I'm better than you, Fal," Liam chuckled, putting down his remote. "Plus, I can't remember a time when you've played a video game, so no wonder you stink."

She rolled her eyes.

"Why did you want to play, anyway?" he asked.

She shrugged and quickly stated, "Just making up for lost time."

"Fallon, we have the rest of eternity together to play video games. You just got back home yesterday after being missing, we can do whatever you want."

"I guess so," she sighed.

"So," Liam continued, "what do you want to do?"

Fallon paused and thought for a moment. She suddenly remembered that she hadn't worked in three months, and things at the office would be very behind.

She quickly stood up.

"Oh my god, I have to get to work! I haven't been to the office in so long, things are probably so off course, I most likely lost some deals! ... What if my workers tore the place up and ran away? What if it exploded? What if I can never get it back up and running again? What if-"

"Hey, hey, hey, slow your roll," Liam interrupted, grabbing his wife's hands. "The office is fine. Nothing exploded, and your workers are still there. They've been holding the place up while you were gone."

Fallon's eyes widened.

"What!? Who confirmed the deals and dealt with the money? I swear to God if I go in there and see that-"

"Fallon!" he interrupted again, "everything is fine. Your assistant told all of your clients that things would have to be put off for a while. When you go back, which will not be today, it will be like you never even left."

A breath left her mouth as she nodded, her eyes still wide.

"But I should still go to work-"

"No. You're not working. You haven't even been home for 24 hours."

Silence filled the space between the two, and Fallon started to fidget with the bottom of her shirt.

"Okay, okay, that's fine," she said quickly. "U-Uhm, let's go downstairs and get something to eat."

She grabbed Liam's hand and almost dragged him out of the bedroom. He raised an eyebrow at her antics but didn't question it.

Holding hands, they went downstairs and walked into the kitchen. Hearing footsteps, Blake looked up from his newspaper and smiled at his daughter.

"Good morning, Fallon. Good to see you up and moving," he said happily.

After Fallon returned last night, she had reunited with everyone and they had all hung out in the living room for a few hours, just catching up.

"Morning, dad."

He looked back down to the paper.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?"

Fallon opened her mouth to respond, but Liam jumped in before she could get a word out.

"Nothing much... just relaxing," he said quickly.

Fallon turned to her husband, puzzled, but didn't say anything.

.....

After a nice breakfast with the family, Fallon and Liam went back up to their room, again, hand in hand.

They sat on the bed and started to chat about nothing in particular, but when silence took over, Fallon started to pick at her nails.

"Why are you doing that?"

"Doing what?" she responded, somewhat nervous.

"Picking your nails," he stated.

She looked away, avoiding eye contact.

"No reason.... Let's go play more video games."

She got up before he could say anything else, and she grabbed the controllers for the both of them. She turned on the TV and put on the game.

Liam raised an eyebrow, but complied to her wishes. She was obviously avoiding something, but he didn't want to push her. She would tell him when she was ready.

They played a round, and Fallon lost.

"Let's go again!" she said.

"Fallon-"

She started another round.

They played another, and Fallon lost.

"Best two out of three," she said.

"Fallon-"

She started another round.

They played yet another, and Fallon lost.

"Just one more!"

"Fallon! I-"

She started another round, cutting Liam off for the third time.

He wanted her to talk to him on her terms, but this was just ridiculous.

He grabbed her controller and paused the newly started game, setting it aside.

"Fallon, what's going on?"

"I don't don't know what you're talking about," she replied, almost defensively.

"Yes, you do. You've been acting strange all day, why won't you talk to me?"

She sighed.

"Liam-"

"No, don't 'Liam' me. I want to help you! I know something's wrong. Hell, you've been missing for three months, obviously something is gonna be wrong. I want to know, no I need to know. Let me help you."

She sighed again and played with the hem of her shirt. Liam took her hands in his, making her look at him.

"Hey, it's okay."

"No, it's not!" she yelled.

Liam froze.

"What do you mean?"

She firmly closed her eyes.

"Whatever it is, you can tell me," he continued softly.

Silence fell upon them as Liam patiently - yet worriedly - waited for a response from his wife. He held his breath as she sucked one in.

She opened her mouth, and out came two words that stunned Liam.

"I'm pregnant."
