Third Person POV - Carrington Lake - August 23rd

"Hey, you okay?"

Fallon turned to Liam, who was holding a little bloodhound puppy called Bea, named after Fallon's childhood dog, Bo.

They sat on a bench at the edge of Carrington Lake, looking out into the crystal blue water that reflected the cotton candy clouds.

After everything that had happened in the past, surprisingly almost a year ago now, Fallon would have never expected to use the words "I'm" and "okay" in the same sentence. She might not have been then, and she might not fully be now, but to her, it was enough.

She smiled.

"Yeah, I'm okay."

And she thought to herself, maybe they were going to be okay, too.

They leaned towards each other until their lips softly touched.

Yeah, they were going to be just fine.

Howdy! After about six months, this book is complete!

I had a lot of fun writing it, and I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse of my disturbing fantasies.

Let me know what you thought of this book: thoughts, questions, analysis, likes, dislikes, connections, theories, and others of the sort.

Thank yall for the reads, votes, and comments, and keeping up with my spread out garbage posts. I really appreciate it.

As always, be sure to remember that it's never too late to go back to bed.

Third Person POV - The White House - August 23rd

"Genevieve!"

A short, brown haired woman entered the office.

"Yes, Mrs. Carrington?"

Fallon turned towards her and hastily shuffled through the documents on her desk.

"That's President Carrington to you, Genny," she retorted.

Genevieve dipped her head a little.

"My apologies, President Carrington. What can I do for you?"

"Please bring my wife in."

"Right away, Mrs. President."

She exited the room quickly, and Fallon let out a satisfied sigh.

"I like the sound of that," she whispered to herself, referring to the name Genevieve had just called her.

"I also like the sound of that."

Fallon smiled at the voice and turned to her wife.

"Hello, Lia. It's about time you got here. I've been waiting for you."

Lia walked over to Fallon and gave her a peck on the cheek.

"Well, I'm here. What did you need?"

Fallon frowned.

"Can I not invite my wonderful wife to my office just to spend time with her because I love her so much and not need an excuse?"

Lia raised an eyebrow.

"Fine," Fallon gave in, scoffing. "I need help finishing this new law."

The two smiled at each other and chuckled.

"Fine, what's the law about?"

Fallon looked away shyly.

"It's illegal to wear white after Labor Day for at least three weeks."

"Oh my god," Lia laughed. "Really?"

She didn't respond, but instead pulled her in for a make-out sesh on the desk.

The end <3
