"Marinette? Marinette...can someone please call for help?"

Her eyes fly open. The sky, the clouds, the streetlamps above her all start coming into focus. Marinette grabs Adrien's arm, forcing him to look at her. She shakes her head no and manages to give a wobbly thumbs up.

Clumsy Marinette has had the breath knocked out of her countless times, this was something she was unfortunately already used to. She was okay, she only needed a few seconds.

The crowd of people that had gathered seemed to be relived at her signal, starting to laugh and chat amongst themselves while returning to their previous activity. The crowd soon completely dispersed and only Adrien remained at her side.

"Take your time, don't worry. I'll make sure no one runs into you in the time being."

Marinette looks over. Soft olive skin, glowing warm in the sunlight. His green eyes sparkle, like holding an emerald against the light. His golden waves, caressing either side of his face he looks down at me with a soft smile. He is on one knee, his lean frame slightly bent over her.

Adrien.

Her forever crush, kneeling besides her, gazing at her.

And she couldn't care less.

Her head was spinning, she was still slightly struggling to breath, yet every heartbeat marked Luka getting further and further away.

Marinette starts sitting up, Adrien reaches over and grabs her arm, helping her. She rests back against her hands and looks at the stop where Luka's car once stood.

She feels her lip quiver at the thought, and her vision starts getting blurry.

"Marinette?"

She looks over at Adrien. His eyebrows are furrowed as he gazes intently at her. She feels her heart soften for him at seeing how deeply concerned he is.

"What's wrong?" He whispers,.

She feels a single tear stream down her cheek, leaving the skin in its path cool from the cold air.

Marinette tries breathing but can only manage a wheeze. She knows she'll be okay but her heads getting light.

She remembers the same cool feeling from not too long ago with Luka. But instead of a single cool line her whole body was engulfed in the icy feeling of being drenched in the cold rain.

She wipes the tear with the back of her hand.

She manages another wheeze, a little more air comes through this time. The burning sensation in her lungs cooling ever so slightly.

"Does it still hurt?" Andrew asks, Tik tiling his head a smidge.

Marinette, able to breath a little better, takes the opportunity to reply.

"Hhukah....nuhmberh." She wheezes.

His eyebrows furrow even deeper and his lips slightly pucker as he thinks. His eyes slightly tremble as if he were scanning different bits of her face before they stop and concentrate on her eyes again.

"Luka...number? You want me to call Luka."

YES. Her eyes almost jumped out of her head as she fervently nodded. Her body starts shaking as a surge of adrenaline runs through her. She suddenly gasps, a good amount of air finally coursing down her, filling her lungs, and quenching the flames. About time you useless pair of lungs! ...On second thought, thank you lungs for putting up with me.

Adrien wasn't paying her any mind though, he was on his phone, his finger flying across the screen.

"You have his number?" Marinette managed to croak.
