I knocked on the door to be answered with a rather rude response. "No! Go away! There are too many strange dwarves in my house as it is!" Bilbo's little voice shouted from inside.

"I am neither dwarf nor strange by elf definitions!" I called back.

Just as I said that, the door swung open and Bilbo sighed, "Oh, Kiti, it's you," he grabbed my hand and dragged me into the house. "Look at this! They are messing up my house!" Bilbo's threw a knife into a rather large pile of weapons.

"I told to be careful with those!" I heard a voice well known to me.

"If it is not Fili the Lionhearted!" I laughed and looked at Fili. "It has been many years since we last met," I clasped his shoulder.

"Kiti?!" Kili's head peaked around a corner. "Kiti! What are you doing here?" He came around and smiled.

"Oh, I heard tale of an adventure and my hands just itched to be a part of it," I smiled back and gave a fake shudder. "I cannot wait to see Erebor in its former glory!" I sighed.

"Wait, you have seen Erebor before?" Fili asked.

I was saved from an uncomfortable moment by Balin. "Kiti, I thought I heard your voice," he came around the same corner as Kili had but with a table.

"Oh! Lass," Dwalin came with the other end, "you are taller and older since last we met."

"Older, not taller," I laughed. "It has been many long years, Dwalin," I gripped both of his shoulders tightly and threw my head against his. We all laughed but Bilbo was not amused.

"Wait, you mean to tell me you all know each other?!" He yelled over our laughter.

"My dear Bilbo!" I laughed. "Did you not think I met dwarves during my travels?"

Before Bilbo could answer, however, there was a loud knock on the door. "No!" Bilbo yelled. "There are far to many dwarves and elves in my house as it is! If this is some clot head's idea of a joke, I can only say," Bilbo grasped the door handle, "very poor taste!" And before any of us could stop him, Bilbo yanked open the door. 8 dwarves went onto the floor and Gandalf peeped inside.

"Kiti! I see you made it safely," the old wizard said and stepped over the pile of dwarves.

"Of course, I did," I gave the old man a hug, "Adventure is my middle name."

"Well you'd better get to know those you don't know," he nodded back to the pile.

One by one I helped them up and one by one they told me their names. I matched faces to names and didn't screw up at all that night. After several minutes of unloading Bilbo's pantry on to the table, we all sat down.

"Who wants an ale?" Fili walked on the table and in people's food.

"Fili! Over here!" I called. He smiled and handed me one. I had found myself in between Fili and Kili.

"Bomber! Catch!" Bufor yelled and chucked an egg from one end of the table and into his brother's mouth. We all cheered and yelled.

"One! Two! Three! Up!" Kili yelled and we all chugged our beers. Unlike dwarves, elves never spill a drop of alcohol but still manage to chug is just as well as dwarves.

There were several burps around the table but Ori stood up and burped the loudest and longest. That was until I did it. I burped very long and very loud and they were all silent until I finished.

"And that fellas is how a lady does it!" I laughed with them.

"Kiti, I thought you to be more lady like," Gandalf exclaimed.

"I would never do that in the presence of my kin but it is good to let lose once and a while," I answered.

Afterwards we all got up and walked around. Bilbo could be heard all throughout the house, complaining. "You said you would like to see Erebor in its former glory," Fili approached me. "What did you mean by that?"

"That is story for when we are alone with only those who know me from that time," I smiled at the memories.

"I am sorry to interrupt but what should I do with my plate?" Ori tapped Bilbo on the shoulder. He was not 10 feet away.

"Here, Ori, give it to me," Fili walked over and winked at me. He took the Plate and tossed it over to Kili. This continued on with much more complaints by Bilbo.

"Don't do that you'll blunt them!" Bilbo yelled at the others who where hitting the silverware together.

"You hear that lads?" Bufor smiled. "He says we'll blunt the knives."

Then the song started. Seeing my opportunity to slip away, I went outside. The night was warm and a soft breeze blew. I took a deep breath and listened to the silence. But it did not last very long.
