When I awoke in the morning, the sun was shining and hooves could be heard hitting stones. There was laughter and shouts coming from around the bend. I yawned and sat up smiling as the dwarves came around the corner.
"Kili! What are you doing?" Fili yelled as his brother pushed Ori over.
"What?" Kili asked innocently as the rode underneath me.
"Where do you think Kiti could have wandered off to?" Bufor asked. "I saw her leave last night."
"She said she would meet us in the morning," Fili added.
"So I did, Master Dwarf!" I laughed. They all looked up in shock and some of them laughed. I whistled and there was a whiny far off. "You have finally showed up have you? I take it you cleaned up at the hobbit's," I stood on the branch.
"My dear girl, come down before you fall and hurt yourself!" Gandalf called to me.
I walked to the very edge of the branch so it bent and was flimsy. "Gandalf, you may be an old wizard but I am nearly 3000 years old," I laughed.
There was a whiny and hooves could be heard as my black stallion galloped around the bend that the dwarves just came from. I sighed and just as Heru ran beneath the branch I jumped. There were many gasps from the dwarves below me and many were pushed out of the way by Heru. I landed perfectly on his back. Heru kept on galloping to the hill until I finally slowed his down.
"You may be 3000 years of age but you act as if you are Fili and kili's age," Gandalf called to me.
"Well then," I laughed. "Let me make a bet with you. I say your burglar will be arriving to this adventure any minute now!" I smiled as the dwarves caught up to me.
"You are on!" Fili said and pulled out a bag of coins.
"Do not doubt the burglar!" Kili shoved his brother. "I want in!" Soon it became a real bet and even Gandalf wagered in favor of the hobbit.
"We must keep going," Thorin grumbled and pushed between Fili and I. We followed the order and rode for another 15 minutes before there came a shout behind us.
"Wait! I signed it!" I turned around to see Bilbo running after us with the contract in his hand. "I signed it!" He gasped as he handed it over to Balin.
After inspecting it, Balin rolled it up and said, "Welcome Master Baggins to the Company of Thorin Oakensheild."
"Give him a pony," Thorin ordered.
Bilbo refused but was picked up and placed on to the pony that they had been using as a luggage pony. We rode on for 5 minutes before I smiled and called out to Fili who was ahead of me.
"Hey Fili!" I called out and he turned around. "Did you just not lose a bet?" I laughed as he reluctantly pulled out his bag of coins. He threw them and me and I caught them with a laugh.
"What is that about?" Bilbo asked between Gandalf and I.
"They took wagers on wether or not you'd turn up," Gandalf answers plainly.
"What about you?" Bilbo asked and was shocked as Gandalf caught a small bag of coins flying towards him.
"My dear Bilbo," he said and put it in his pocket, "I never doubted you for a second." I laughed and we continued to rise on for a long time.
We rode and laughed until the sun was setting before Thorin started to think about a place to rest. "Gandalf, you know this land. Where is the best place to stop?" He turned around and asked with an intense look in his eye. This may not end well.
