I turned to see white horses riding all around me. Riders clad in elvish armor and bearing the colors of Rivendell took down all of the orcs swiftly and quickly. I called for Heru and mounted as he ran by.
"Lady Kiti," some of the elves bowed as best they could and I nodded my head to them in respect.
"Ah, Lord Elrond," I smiled as I approached the only rider with out a helmet. "It is good to see you," I said in elvish.
"And you too, Kiti," he answered in elvish. "It is a strange sight to see an elf risk her life for the sake of a dwarf and so near our borders."
"You will know all when we arrive to Rivendell," I smiled. Elrond gestured to his men and we all rode of Rivendell. We rode in silence for most of the time and only talked of minor things. It did not take us too long to see the city.
As we rode down the hill to the city, Elrond spoke, "You bear the sword of your mentor. I thought those to be lost."
"They were," I answered, "until we stumbled upon a troll hoard. They must have been taken from the training camp."
"Ah, I see," Elrond answered.
"Yes I suppose," I sighed and looked at the ground. "Here are my companions!" I smiled as I saw the company of dwarves standing in a tight group on a platform.
We all crossed the bridge and Elrond's men encircled the dwarves. Thorin and the others had their weapons drawn. Elrond and I rode to the front and dismounted simultaneously.
"Mithrandir!" Elrond said. "It is strange to have orcs so close to your borders." Elrond did not expect an answer and so turned to Thorin. "Welcome Son of thrain."
"I don't believe we have met," Thorin said cautiously.
"I have met Thror while he was King under the Mountain," Elrond answered.
"He made no mention of you," Thorin answered and cocked his head to the side in confusion.
"Stay and eat, my friends," Elrond answered and elvish and turned around.
"What's this?!" Gloin questioned. "Does he offer us insult?!"
"Quite the contrary," I answered. "He offers you food."
The dwarves conversed between themselves before allowing gloin to be the one to answer. "Lead the way."
"What happened after we went down that tunnel?" Fili asked me as soon as we started to walk.
"I held them off as best I could but there were too many for me. Luckily Lord Elrond came and helped out a little," I answered.
"Lady Kiti?" a servent girl approached me. I nodded to Fili and he nodded back and kept on walking. I gave the servant my undivided attention. "Lady Arwen had us prepare a bath for you."
"Well then, lead the way," i said and she took me to a steam room and left me to myself.
I soaked in the bath watching the sun move across the sky. I must have been in there for about an hour. There were oils with all scents and flower petals floated a top the water. Soon I heard the door open and The servant girl came running in.
"Lord elrond requested you wear this and sit on his right side during the meal," she said and held out a long golden dress with a dark brown corset.
I got out of the steaming water and wrapped myself in a white towel. "Thank you," I said and took the dress and corset. She scurried away as soon as the dress left her hands and shut the door.
I smiled and changed quickly. My hair was still wet so I used the wind to dry it faster. I pulled my hair back like I always did and then twirled the ends of my braids. I walked out and followed my memories to the dining hall. All the dwarves were laughing and it seemed that Bufor had just sung for he was on the table. I took a deep breath and walked past them. They all fell silent.
