"We are 5 rounds into the NFR ladies and gents. Halfway to finding out who the new, or returning, world champions are.

I'm here with Reece Walker, the rookie setting the standings on fire. Shes moved up to 3rd place in the standings and her traveling partner, Kelsey Smith, has moved up to 5th. They are slowly clawing up the way to the top.

What's it like being here?" The interview asked.

"It's so surreal being here. All the blood, sweat, and years that have happened it is nice that it payed off. I just.. Wow.. I can't believe I'm here" I answered talking into the microphone the interview lady was holding.

"Any advice you'd give anyone?" She asked

"Whatever you're going through and thinking of quitting... Don't. IT IS WORTH IT.

I've been to hell and back and here I am. Standing at the big, bad, Thomas and Mack center!! You can do it!" I said smiling.

"Thank you Reece for talking with us!"

"No thank y'all for letting me talk to y'all" I said smiling big.

"Isn't she a sweetheart. Reece Walker, certainly one to watch out for." She said smiling

After the interview I walked to check on horses with Kelsey.

"So round 6 tonight. How are you feeling??" I asked.

"I'm nervous yet excited yet anxious yet UGHHHH!" She said wide eyed.

"Chill. You got this." I said laughing as we checked the horses water.

Time flew by. We were already on our horses ready for the 6th round. We guided our horses into the now familiar alleyway. Tonight we were 5th out on the ground.

"We can do this!" I whispered to Ace.

We made our first barrel a smokin turn, our second was fast too, I had to lift my leg on the third so I didn't hit. It was fast but not sure what time.

I came into the alleyway as the announcer boomed over the loudspeakers. "Holy smokes folks. You better hold on to your hats!! She just blew the doors off the arena record! 13.25!! Oh my goodness folks! Wow!!"

"Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god!!!" I said jumping off of Ace and hugging his neck. After all the runners had ran I had people coming up and congratulating me. Oh my gosh it is unreal.

"GREAT MOTHER FREAKING RUN GIRL!!" Kelsey said smiling at me and patting Ace.

"Y'all had good runs too"

"Nothing compared to yours homie." She said throwing a piece sign.

"Don't EVER do that again!" I said laughing. After we finished with the horses, went to awards ceremony, and visited our families for a bit it was now 12:30 am.

We went back to our room and got in our pjs and layed in bed while watching the rerun of tonight's "live" coverage of the nfr.

It was barrels, and it showed my run and after it showed the time it zoomed in to by the alleyway where Case was standing and he was clapping and yelling after they said my time.

"Aww someone came to watch little miss Reece set the Thomas and Mack on fire."

"Shut the hell up and go to sleep before I unfriend you!" I said throwing a pillow at her and turning the lights off.

The next morning was crazy!

Interview, after interview, after interview, then endorsements, endorsements, endorsements!

By the time 2 o'clock came around I was ran ragged.

"I think I'm gonna go take a nap before the perf starts." I told Kelsey.

"You go do that my little champion." She said grinning.

I rolled my eyes and walked to the elevator.

"Hold the door!" I heard.

I did as told and of course, so cliche, Case came in.

"Hello there Reece. How're you?" He asked smiling his shit eating smile.

"I'm good Case. Yourself?" I asked actually smiling

"Fine. Thanks for asking. Guess the cold shoulder is gone?"

"Eh. You never know." I said smiling.

He reached over and pushed the button that stops the elevator.

Seriously why do they even make those.

"Look cut it out with all the "hatred" and "disgust" about me ok. We all know you like me and can't keep your eyes off of me." He said getting close to me.

"Oh Case. How could you be so right. You're right. I'm crazy about you. Take me right here right now. I've been dreaming about this since the first time I ever layed eyes on you.." I said in such an obvious sarcastic tone.

"Stop the sarcasm. And stop lying to yourself." He said coming closer.

I treacherous behind hi when he wasn't paying attention and made the elevator moe again.

"You're right." I said in a deduct over voice and pushed him to the fall and layed my body on him. I could feel his heart beating faster. "I just have something to tell you," I said and moved in close to his ear "keep dreaming cowboy." I said in my most sexiest of voices and just inches from his ear. And like major the door opened at the perfect time and out I walked to my room.

Holy shit. They should make a movie about how smooth I am.

I took a nap until Kelsey woke me up. I got dressed and got on Ace to run the 7th round.

I walked his energized self into the alleyway and stood till it was my turn.

When it was finally me I maneuvered my dancing horse to the alley and took off like a blur and quick enough we made it cross the timer. 13.48 not bad at all!! We ended up winning the round again with Kelsey following.

After awards, Kelsey and I went to our room and got in bed.

"Round 8 tomorrow. Almost to the end! Keep it up! I told her as I turned the lights off.

"We got this." She said then we both fell asleep.

I'm so sorry it's been centuries since I've updated. Y'all wouldn't even guess how busy I am. But yeah. Let me know what y'all think. Y'all are amazing!!
