Round 1 of Pendleton soon came to a close and Kelsey & I both qualified for the shirt round, along with Case & John.
It was currently 7 pm and our next run was the day after next, Sunday. So we had a day to just chill on Saturday.
"Let's go get tore up!" Kelsey boomed from the bathroom of the trailer as I looked up from my phone on my spot on the couch
"Why?" I asked her
"Because, with the case thing you need fun, and you can invite Chance. It'll just be a good all around decision." She said putting on a pair of earrings
"Don't you mean, time for you and John. Why not just go with him and leave me at peace"
"Because Reece, you're like a bump on a log. I miss raising hell with my best friend. Remember what they called us back in the day?... Double-"
"Trouble. yes I remember..."
"Ok then get your selfish ass up and let's go dance, and have a good ol time" Kelsey said walking in and patting me on the head.
"Ok ok. Give me 10 minutes." I say as I get up, grab some clothes and walk into the bathroom.
About 8 minutes later we heard a knock on the door, Kelsey got off the couch to open the door to find John and Case's smiling faces.
"Babe, you look smokin" John said eyeing Kelsey.
"Thank hot stuff, you don't look so bad yourself" she said jumping down off the trailer and engulfing him in a hug "Reece getcho big ass out here."
"Ok ok. Keep your pants on." I said walking out of the bathroom, then out the trailer not even looking at Case. I could feel his eyes boring through me, but I honestly didn't give a shit.
We climbed in Kelsey & I's truck, obviously I drove.
We drove the short ways to the dance hall/bar in town. We pulled into a parking spot, and me and Kelsey jumped out of the truck with a big grin.
"I am so ready to cut a damn rug" I said rubbing my hands together.
"You dance?" Case asked surprised.
"Case, if it's got a beat I can dance to it, if it's got hair I can ride it." I said looking at him with a duh expression.
"Yeah.. I know." He said winking
"NOT. LIKE. THAT"
We walked into the building and were overcome with the smell of alcohol, cigarette smoke, and loud music.
In the middle of the building was a big dance floor and on its borders was a half bar with bar stools, pool tables along the walls, and two big bars on either side.
"Oh yeah. I missed this" I said aloud so all 3 could hear me.
"Where to first?" Kelsey asked.
"The bar" John motioned
"Uh not old enough." I said
"Oh yeah. Y'all are just babies" case smiled at me.
"Shut up grandpa." I rolled my eyes and grabbing Kelsey and walking over to the dance floor.
"Ok! Well grab y'all one" I heard John yell.
"Such a weirdo." I said referencing to case.
"He's not over you Reece, it's kinda cute."
